Quarterfinals had begun and the tournament is getting hotter by the day. The first quarter final is between Beulah alumni vs St. Mary.
Beulah qualified without a goal scored and just 1 points they qualified to quarter. They will be playing against st. Mary alumni school who are debutants in this tournament. Participating for the first time doesn't mean they cant top their group and they have become a force to reckoned with. The squad is full of confidence and they have the believed to go for the next round. The match will be featured in University of Uyo Annex field.
The match ended up 2-1 in favour of St. Mary alumni school and at the post match conference the coach said he is going for the trophy and it is possible they can win because they are always dominating their opponent.
The second quarter finals was held in same venue and it was between St. Brian's college vs Mboho alumni team another debutants like the st Mary team. They vowed that they will do better than the St. Mary team and also go for the trophy.
2016 IAFA Champions, St. Brian's alumni team will want to continue their dominance they dud in 2016 against this year's edition tournament debutants Mboho alumni team. This team have played against heavy weight schools like Bright stars and Nigeria Christian institute. St. Brian's alumni team fielded the youngest squad of ex-students in this year's edition of the tournament. Both teams have not lost a fixture yet in this competition yet. The match was played in University of Uyo, Annex campus football pitch. The match between this two competitive team ended a stalemate and in the penalty shootout it ended 10-9 in favour of the debutants Mboho alumni team.
