Life is full of enjoyment. Many things happen in life, but we can’t just sit without enjoying. Let us take this expedition.

It was a normal holiday when Justice, Farhan, Hamza, Fathia, and Abdul were back from school. It’s been a long time since they met. They had a lot of fun when they were kids. This is the first time they are meeting in 10 years. They are happy to see each other. They even plan on visiting a place together to cover up the lost time they missed within the 10 years of schooling.

They made it home the next day. They gathered at Hamza’s house. Almost everyone has changed. Abdul, who had no beard, now has it more than any other, but his bald hair persists. For Farhan, he kept growing tall. They wondered what he was doing with the height. Everyone spoke about their experience at their various schools and their relationships. It shocked everyone that Hamza was still single. They made fun of him. It was almost 10 pm when Fathia brought out an idea to embark on an adventure. They all loved it except Justice. They convinced him to buy into the idea but they weren’t certain where exactly they could go but Justice gave a suggestion that Seba Oasis in Libya will be a great one. Since no one has traveled outside Ghana.

They took an express flight to the Libya Oasis two days later after going through the hectic visa processing procedures of Ghana. They wanted to be out of Ghana ASAP to have the best times of their lives together.

Not forgetting the chemistry that exists between Hamza and Fathia. Hamza has been hiding it since they were kids. It's only Abdul who knows about it. Abdul has been encouraging him to make the step but he always claims it's not the right time yet. I even wonder when the right time will come. Abdul was hoping maybe in this trip Hamza gets the chance to declare his sincere love to Fathia.

They checked in at the nearest hotel at the airport to rest. They took body massages and took to bed after since it was already almost 10 pm. On a normal day, Hamza will watch a movie before bed, Fathia reads some novels. Abdul is a nerd and Math genius. He still practices math before he goes to bed even in school. Farhan the best chef among his friends, watches YouTube recipe videos and Justice normally sleeps off playing Video games, FIFA specifically. At first light the following morning, Justice was up already ready to chill his brains out. He laughed hard when saw that Abdul slept while trying to prove a mathematical formula of something that seemed to be written as “STEEMIT”. When Abdul woke up, Justice inquired on what the said formula was about and was told he was proving the formula to become the name of a social media site he joined back at school that paid users in cryptocurrency STEEM and SBD. Justice couldn’t believe this and called Abdul a hopeless hustler to the others who laughed at Abdul with him.

They made it into the oasis the next morning. They were joyful. Out of ignorance they never bothered asking about what can happen in a desert. They were only joyful of the entertainment and enjoyment part. When they got to the desert, they had about a 5 km journey before they could make it to the Oasis. Hamza was worried because Fathia won’t be able to manage to that distance. He gave her a helping hand. That’s what love can do. They arrived in the Oasis at 8:00 pm in the evening and decided to make some dinner. They ate from their special chef Farhan.

They planned great for the next day and kept their food safe. They woke up to realize they were being monitored. They thought they were the only people there. They became very cautious. That didn’t stop them from the main purpose of the travel.

Out of ignorance they never bothered asking about what can happen. Their food was enough, and everything was working for them really well. Hamza was planning on letting Fathia know but as we already know, it wasn’t the right time yet.

It was night and they slept hiding their stuff. They woke up the next morning to realize Fathia was gone. They didn’t know where she went. They were all devastated. But the one who was out of control was Hamza. Crying and saying I should have told her. Maybe she wouldn’t have left. Everyone except Abdul was confused. Justice asked, “told her what?".Hamza then replied, “I love her so much. we will find her at all costs. I have been planning on letting her know. Now that she is gone, how do I get telling her? We know we are not equipped, but we will find her. “That gave Hamza peace but he wasn’t satisfied. The sweet adventure to an Oasis journey turned to the journey of finding Fathia.

They searched everywhere and couldn’t find any trace of her. The only thing that was left of her was half of the small heart and key bracelet which according to her was a gift from her mum. They asked each other if anyone saw or heard anything the night before and everyone shook their head as a way of saying no. After an hour of not knowing what to do, Abdul finally decided to spill out the beans. He said “I saw some strange men covering Fathia’s head with a brown sack and carrying her into a cave nearby. I followed them quietly without being detected into the cave which looked like an entrance to another place.” He told them why he kept it from them because he didn’t want to hurt Hamza’s feelings even more.

Hamza was very furious and asked Abdul to lead the way so that he goes to rescue the love of his life. They packed their belongings and followed Abdul through the Oasis. No sooner had they walk than Justice complained of hunger and thirst. Irrespective of the situation, Justice never joked with his meal.

Hamza furiously asked Justice how he could be hungry in a time like that. Justice, as usual, ignored him and took a bunch of bananas from his backpack. Before anyone else could utter a word, he had already filled his mouth with three fingers of banana.

Everyone started to doubt what Abdul said until they got to where the cave was and saw footprints as well the other half of Fathia’s bracelet.

Scared of the unknown, they fearfully walked into the cave and guess what? It was indeed the entrance to what looked like an ancient Village buried underneath the Oasis.
Upon appearing at the other end, they saw what looked like a mass gathering of primitive men and women wearing clothes made out of hides of cattle and skin of wild animals like tigers and lions. And seated on a throne-like figure was Fathia with a very huge man seated by her side. By default, they all presumed that she was being crowned as their Queen. The people seem to speak a foreign language.

Hamza who is ignorant of the situation they are in was about to shout out Fathia’s name when a strange hand from behind covered his mouth and moved him behind the big oak tree.

One of the indigenous people heard the noise from behind and turned to look but fortunately for them, they hid perfectly well. The hand that prevented Hamza from shouting was that of Dr. Robert Couch; an American researcher who got lost in the desert and found himself at the village. He took all five of them to his small hut near the river. He understood English and that made communication between them very easy.
He told them his story and that of the people.

Dr. Robert: Your friend is the Queen of Bibiani now. That is the name of this place. She looks like an ancient Queen who saved them from starvation several years ago. They believe that she is a reincarnation of that Queen who has come to liberate them from all their diseases and sufferings. One thing you must know is that they are man-eating cannibals.

Justice: So why haven’t they eaten you?

Dr. Robert: Isn’t it obvious? I am extremely handsome.

Everybody laughed to release some tension.

Dr. Robert: But the truth is, they believe I am some kind of deity because of my white skin and for the past 20 years they have kept me here. Within the first three years, I planned over 40 escape plans but I haven’t mustered the courage to implement any of them but with you here, I am sure we will finally succeed.

Hamza: How do we help her escape the palace?

Dr: Don’t worry, leave that to me. Anyway, where did you say you come from?

Farhan: Ghana, and we came here for fun yet we find ourselves in this unimaginable situation.

The following morning, Dr. Robert, was able to have access to the palace where he met Fathia. She was heavily guarded but he was able to talk to her. He told Fathia that her friends had come to rescue her. She was a little bit unhappy about it because she was beginning to like the kind of lifestyle she was living. Who wouldn’t like breakfast in bed, your own private bathtub, and over ten maids at your beck and call? But she agreed to escape with them.

Dr. Robert gave Fathia the escape plan and she got used to it just overnight. The plan was to be executed the next night. They started taking note of stuff the next morning putting things in place to make it easy for them. Hamza was very passionate about the plan not failing because it will be a great reunion for him as he plans on letting Fathia know how he feels about her.

Night came, everyone was asleep. Fathia was on her bed waiting for their alarm. She heard the alarm but one of the king’s sons was still awake. She tried escaping without him knowing but to her notice they had eye contact. Before the king’s son could fight, Fathia landed a heavy stone on his head which ended him.

This alarmed the people of Bibiani and they started chasing her. She made a good run and met her friends on the way. There was no time for conversation as the people were chasing them. Dr. Robert led the way. They moved very fast and the people also had good runners. They battled till they got to the entrance.

After their departure, they had to close them in. That was the only way they could escape without them following them out. Hamza brought an idea of them using heavy stones to crack their gate to close them in.

They weren’t all that strong but they managed to do that before the people of Bibiani came. They were relieved and that was when Hamza could talk. Hamza being so emotional said, “Fathia, I’m really glad you are safe now. I just want you to know I will always be there for you. This isn’t easy for me but it's rotten inside and I can’t keep it anymore. I love you.” There was silence for some time and then Fathia replied, “I know. I love you too. I waited for many years to hear this from you. I am really glad this gave you the courage to do so.”

They were all safe and Dr. Robert will still get the chance to see his family in 20 years. They couldn’t wait for daybreak to call their flight home. The flight arrived the next day. They went home with the love birds, Hamza and Fathia. They had a great flight back to Ghana. Hamza’s being single, ended in Seba Oasis and it was really a great journey for everyone.

They bid and thanked Dr. Robert farewell as he took his journey back to South Africa.
For the five friends, they were back home with experience. They can’t say the journey wasn’t fun at least Hamza found his love in the heart of Seba Oasis.

This was how Farhan, Hamza, Justice, and Abdul spent their holidays on Seba Oasis. I don’t know if they will ever dare to go back there.
