Promoting posts(burning of SBD) : A detailed guide by @hayleydemi

We all want a better and improved Steemit economy. For a while, there was absence of SBD rewards. Thankfully, SBD is back now. However, it is necessary for the Steem economy to be better than what it is now. It recent months, we have seen the #burnsteem25 initiative where users are encouraged to set 25% of their rewards from a post to @null. This is all in an attempt to make Steemit better for us all.

Now, something new is being experimented: the promotion of a post using SBD. In other words, this can be called burning of SBD. When you promote a post, it appears in the promoted page. The higher the amount of SBD you promote a post with, the higher the tendency of your post to be at the top of the page.

Detailed Steps on how to promote a post

First, you need to make a post.
After that, go to your wallet and login
Go to the dropdown option for SBD(STEEM DOLLARS)

Select transfer
On the page that pops up, type in @null in the "to" option
In the "Amount" option, fill in the SBD amount you wish to pay. In my case, it is 0.1 SBD
On the "Memo" option, paste the link of the post you want to promote. However, you have to remove some part of the link. In the end, you link should look like this:

Click "next" and then "ok"

On the next pop up, paste your Active key and then click on "Sign in"

Congratulations, your post has been successfully promoted.

What you stand to benefit

Like I mentioned before, this is an attempt to promote the Steem economy. Hopefully, this would help in making Steemit more rewarding and better for all users.
Secondly, promoting your post could gain you attention and votes from steemcurator01 who would be on the lookout.
It is important to note that votes from steemcurator01 is not guaranteed. Also, your post has to be of good quality for it to stand a higher chance of being voted by SCO1.
