Campus Connect Week 6- New Features I would like to see on Steemit by @harryel

Good day Steemians on the Campus Connect Community!
I joined the Steemit platform in February this year, and have been using it since then. Steemit is a revolutionary decentralised social networking site, in that it is built on a blockchain. Also because users can earn rewards by putting out quality content and getting upvoted by fellow users who enjoy their content. These two things in and of themselves are already very beautiful features of the Steemit platform, but of course, as with all good things, there is always room for improvement.
There are a few features which, I'm certain, many of us would love to be integrated with the Steemit platform in order to facilitate easier usage, better satisfaction and arouse the interests of more people to join in to the Steemit platform. With this contest, I'll be listing a few which I personally hope to see sooner, rather than later, integrated into Steemit as these will make it so much more delightful to use.
1. An Official Steemit App.
This was one of the first things I looked for when I first got acquainted with Steemit. It was surprising for me, when I searched the Google Play Store on my Android™ phone, to discover that there was no Official app for the Steemit platform and that I'd just have to make do with the website. I didn't download any of the apps made by other developers on the Play Store because of the risk of password theft and account hacking, so I just had to stick with using the site.
I really believe that the incorporation of a mobile app (for IOS and Android) and perhaps a desktop app as well, would make Steemit a much more appealing social networking platform. I really think this is one the developers should consider.
2. A Direct Video Upload Feature.
This is one of my favourite, and personally, I think video content is all the rave now with the advent of Instagram and Tiktok. I really enjoy watching videos online and seeing all the crazy creative content that people are able to come up with. I also think video content enables people to connect more to the content creator. The current video upload method of having to upload the video somewhere else and uploading the link here discourages many video content creators. So, yes, I definitely think a direct video upload feature is a must.
3. A Direct Messaging Feature.
This is another very important feature in my opinion. Social media and networks are all about one thing - Socializing. And there's no better way to do that than through one-on-one communication. Sometimes, because of a post, we're moved to connect with the writer, but there's no easy avenue to do so. A direct message feature will definitely be very delightful to have on the Steemit platform.
4. A Save Post Feature.
Sometimes I really like a post and would like to revisit it, but it's not the kind of post I would like to resteem and this is where a save post feature would really come in handy. Users can save posts they find interesting and want to revisit later in the future and that would be very nice.
These are the major features which I'd really like for the Steemit platform developers to incorporate into the entire Steemit experience to make it much more interesting and enjoyable, although it is very enjoyable as is.
Thanks to @whitestallion for the opportunity to participate in this contest.
