BOOK REVIEW: THE FIRST TIME by @godfrey01

THE FIRST TIME is a book written by CHIDIMMA DIANE EZEH. This is the story of a girl named Nneoma Linda Ezeugwu Who was beautiful, fair skinned and a buxom lady and as such attracted romatic advances from men. Nneoma was the thrid child of six children of the family of Mr. Chigozie ezeugwu who was a renouned doctor in Nsukka. She was loved by her parents and they provided for her needs in view not to be gullibele or misled by men.

Nneoma being an excellent fresh graduate of the university of nigeria, nssuka (UNN), departmemt of economics while waiting for her call up letter from the National Youth Service Corps was coerced by her parents to get engaged for marriage before going for service. Which she consented to by breaking up with her school boyfriend Emeka, who she has being dating since her first year on campus. Admired him because he was egg headed and fair skinned. He was the best graduating student of the department of Economics UNN. It was not easy to get over Emeka because he was her first love but due to the pressure from her mother to get married to a real man and not a boy, she got over it with time.

After breaking up with emeka, fortunately nneoma meet with uche nzekwe on one occassion to do her clearance she fell in love with him because he was a perfect match for the man of her dreams. He was handsome, fair skinned, a lecturer in the department of political sciences UNN with a PhD and financially stable, all she ever wished for nneoma was willing to do anything to keep Uche and make him propose to her owning to the pressure from her parents and the envy of her best friend CHARITY being engaged to Fred. Nneoma loved and cared for uche as the love of her life but Uche in return never loved her that much, he wanted to use her to satisfy his sexual appetite due to her desperation to get married. He finally proposed to her with the condition that she must be pregnant for him before any marriage arrangement which she almost did even with the approval of her mother if not for Gods intervention which was a blessing in disguise she had an accident on her way to lose her virginity with uche. Uche was called upon to identify her when the accident occurred but he denied not knowing her and never bothered contacting her.

Earlier on, she has being communicating with CHIEMEKA who her sister IFEBUCHE that was married with a child told her was interested in her. She met Chiemeka during charity's wedding of which she was the chief bridesmaid and Chiemeka happens to be the best man there they discussed at length and got to know each other. Chiemeka was on his masters programme and already a banker. She started having feeling for Chiemeka and some chemistry flourished between them. It was perfect love as Chiemeka cared for her so much and never mistreated or demanded sex from her like Uche did even when the urge came.

Chiemeka proposed to nneoma and the wedding bells began to ring with invitation card being sent to family, friendd and colleagues. Uche got the news of nneoma's wedding and was bent to ruining her marriage so he came up with cock and bull stories in order to win her back proposing to marry her if she would call off her wedding with chiemeka. Which she seemed to play along.

Uche marked a huge party inviting his colleague, friends and family to publicly announce Nneoma Disengagement with chiemeka amd his proposal to marrying her

Uche was shamefully aback when Nneoma came on stage and narrated her love story how she fell in love with a man that never cared about her and how he made her do things that she never wanted to do which was against her standards and an abomination to God referring to Uche.

Now that she has found true love in Chiemeka she was going to stuck with her king for life. Days later Nneoma and Chiemeka got married and lived happily ever after.
