Fruits of being a hard working student 🧑‍🎓

Hello to everybody!👋
This is my first post in this community and am glad to post in. Am a student at Kyambogo university @uganda .If your a hard working student you can never find any difficulties while at campus.
It was last year during the pandemic of Covid 19 which lead to the closure of all schools including campuses. When I was sited home I never thought of anything to do apart from watching tv and sleeping.

Later on my dad asked me to escort him to Luwero district, he was going to buy land. I was so happy that I was to have a road trip with my dad. It was an interesting journey, we had to sign the documents after measuring the land. From that day I started generating an idea of farming but the main question was what was I going to grow. In February I made a tour to different farms and I developed love for growing passion fruits.

I had to borrow the land from my dad and started planning to grow the passion fruits . I borrowed also some money from him approximately 5,000,000/-ug
I employed workers to clear the land and I also involved for the better work. I had to purchase the seedlings and planted them. All went well but the biggest challenge was the hotness of the area since it was a dry season.

We advanced to irrigation methods by using the watering cans. After a few months the seedlings had grown and we had to lay a net from which the brunches were to climb. This was a very tiresome job since it involved in lifting big logs .

When the net got done I had to employ permanent workers at the farm to look after the plants. These were three and upto now they are still there since they are good workers. They do the digging plus the spraying of the plants.

I can now afford what I want at campus because of the hard work I put in for my garden. Every week I can be able to harvest fruits worthy 500,000/- ug . I thank God for blessings, if you believe in your self you can also make it.
