Introduction

Today being Thursday, the 14th day of April 2022 marked the very first anniversary and 1 year existence of a great community - Campusconnect. It has been quite a journey filled with excitement, milestones and of course - challenges. Through thin and thick, this community led by @whitestallion has come a long way in the last 365 days, bringing students from across the world together on the Steem blockchain. Today, we remembered the start of this great project 1 year ago by celebrating its anniversary.

CampusConnectng 1 year Anniversary - How we did it

The 1 year anniversary was hosted at Steemit training center in the city of Aba, Abia State. The event started late afternoon, around 1.30pm. The main celebrant @whitestallion arrived with the anniversary branded T-shirts and of course the food and other refreshments. T-shirts were shared to the guests - @ngoenyi, @alphafx, @samuel20, @solarstar, and @focusnow. The table was set and decorated with the food, wine, and other things. The anniversary cake was also displayed as seen below:

The occasion was started with a brief prayer said by @whitestallion and then a brief welcome speech. The table was also declared open. The guests did not waste time to start enjoying the food and drinks and every other things they find on the table. Discussions about the current state and future of Steemit was discussed, including how communities will survive current state of things. @focusnow even asked the guests what they would do if given the chance to vote with steemcurator01 to five accounts. The occasion was warm and enjoyable.

A high point of the occasion was the cutting of the anniversary cake. It was a time of excitement and joy. First of all, the main celebrant @whitestallion put his hand on the knife, then all the guests supported him. We all took pictures and then got ready to cut the cake. To cut the cake together, the guests spelled CAMPUCONNECTNG and cut at the end of the spelling. The cake was divided and shared among all that were present.

We enjoyed the cake and even had some to take home. After that, we took more pictures and everyone was really happy. The we ended the occasion. The guests started leaving because some like @ngoenyi came from far places. It was really a great occasion and everyone present left happily.
