Campus Connect Weekly Contest - Week 17 - Challenges As A Student On Your Campus.

Welcome to my blog.
I am really grateful to the campusconnect team for organizing a wonderful contest such as this one. Since I am still to get admission into a high institution but I am actually running a pre-degree program in Michael Okpara University Agriculture Umudike (MOUAU), I will just write based on my experience as a pre-degree student.

• First of all who's a student??
  A student is primarily a person enrolled in a school or other educational institution and who is under learning with goals of acquiring knowledge, developing professions and achieving employment at desired field.

Challenges faced by Students on campus.

Students on various campuses are faced by So many challenges but I will be outlining just few. The challenges faced by Students includes:

• Unavailability of water supply: This one I will say is a major problem faced in most universities, especially Nigerian Universities where students are forced to stay in the school hostel and adequate provision of amenities are not made for the students. It is said that water is life, unavailability of good water can result to outbreak of diseases like cholera and so on.

• Inadequate Lecture rooms: Here is another issue faced by Students on campus, due to lack of lecture rooms if a lecture is scheduled to hold by 8:00AM, any student who wants to seat down ought to be there by 7:00AM or else he/she is left with no other choice than to stand till whenever the lecture ends and this makes students leave even before the lecture comes to an end.

• Good Lecturers: Even as pre-degree students we are already experiencing the effects of been thought by a good lecturer. Many lecturers copy there notes word for word and give back to students, it's now left for the students to go into research or else be left in the dark.

• Depression: Many students on campuses are depressed due to one reason or another, some due to financial instability while some suffer depression due to poor academic performance and so on and so forth.

How has all these challenges affected the life of students.

All mentioned earlier has affected the life of students in more negative ways than positive. I will share with you a little about how this issues have affected my life here on campus.

• The unavailability of water supply on a particular Monday morning made me miss a test that took place that morning.
• On the aspect of good lecturers, exams are around the corner already and whenever I look at all that I was thought, it's like the answers were manipulated but they were not, all these and so many more are the effects of the challenges faced by Students on campus.
