BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE DELIVERY

"The customer is always right" is a popular saying known to the Nigerians. It's a resounding anthem used by the greater growing populace. I would be sharing few etiquettes we as customers should learn and abide by when requesting services from service providers and vice versa.

  • THEFT

Some service providers are more like into bad habits of stealing from customers in form of hiking prices or inadequate service provision

scenario;

A guy goes to buy petrol and wants his car tank filled up and is charged by the pump attendant, but on the contrary the fuel tank is not filled up rather, he cheats the man and puts less of the fuel required and pockets the remaining balance.

  • RUDENESS

Some service providers are intricately rude and have a very poor courteous behaviour towards customers. They raise voices at customers and ask sarcastic questions most times. Rudeness is a bad customer service delivery approach.

scenario;
Obi is on the queue and it gets to his turn to be attended to in the bank setting and the cashier asks him a question and he asks is it me? She replies rudely no me! and hisses, rudeness is really bad and should be stopped among service providers.

  • PROFESSIONAL BEGGING

This is another dangerous weapon used by service providers. When a service is provided properly, tips should naturally follow suit. Do not be in the habit of begging. Some do this by calling sweet names like Chairman Sir, Boss, High Chief, all to get tips. Its so embarrassing.

You done shopping and leaving the mall and an attendant helps you with your bag and is asking anything for the boy!

USE THE QUEUE

This is strictly for the customers, no one is above the law, follow due process and queue up before being attended to. It's the right thing to do always be guided and together we can make our country better.
