It is a great privilege to be a part of this contest this week, and I want to thank God for allowing me see this day. Also all thanks to @Campusconnectng for creating a platform like this for us to have our ideas posted or shared with our fellow community members.

Ideas are meant to be created, but at the end the ideas are not shared, or even when they are shared they are not appreciated, which may discourage the written or persons who are into writting and publishing.

Steemit today is a great platform that doesn't only appreciate the writters, or posters for participating in the contests or posting articles but also helps every user to learn from each other.

How I got to know about steemit

I was introduced to steemit on April 2021 by my formal roommate, @noskiart back then in my 100level. Must thank him not only for introducing me to this great platform but also for putting me through some things that would have been a discouragement to me during the pursue of this. He said he was introduced to steemit by @whitestallion and I had the opportunity to be under the tutorladge of these two. @whitestallion has there to give me the best guide in order not to go against the community standard.

The impacts I got from steemit in my campus

  • Writting ability
  • Good presentation
  • Good research ability
  • Crypto blogging lessons
  • Social engagement

Truely talking about the positive impact, steemit is not only changing my time usage but also Serves as a means on encouragement to anyone out there who may not even be a steemian. Before I joined steemit I was a core mathematician, I loved mathematics, and that made me a little less in my research on other stuffs and my English was not something to write he aboit. My English was quite good, but the way I found it difficult to present some articles when asked to was a disturbance to me. But here I when I made my first post in steemit, that was the introduction post, and it was analizee be @whitestallion he asked me to improved my presentation. That made me to do more research and came out with something big and I picked up from there, ventured into other parts like contests and stuffs like that. So in all steemit improved my writting skill and also the way I do my research on topis to avoid plaigarism.

  • Crypto lessons

Steemit as a whole is not just a rewarding social media platform, it is a block chain that allows the users to trade their coins or the reward the have earned. That is to say steemit is as secured as any other block-chain out there. Steemit has thought me the crypto trading part of my life, I had this entusaism to make more money from crypto but the end, I lost the money I used to purchase a particular coin. But then I started using the ideas of buying Sbd and selling steem. And also reading post form steemitcrypto academy, that helped me develop my ability to trade well and not lose.

  • Social engagement

Steemit increased my social life, in the sense that for me to make some posts like dairy posts, or even on a topic I had to talk to some persons and interact with them. Even to grow the community one has to invite people do my that I got to know people the more and engaged in my aspect of socializing in the campus and also made me to your around in order to get nice views.

Steemit as my financial support

As a student who may be stranded financially an even food stuffs may finish, I had to find something else to do and help my parents out to fund my academics. There are so many people out there, as it pertains Nigeria especially graduates, that find themselves in a work place where the salary is not even upto someone's power up here on steemit, it is not an insult but steemit pays more than many jobs out there that could just frustrate your life and at the end of the month 20,000 Naira or less is been paid into the person's account.
Steemit has been a great financial Pillar in my life. In the sense that whenever I need some cash to solve a problem and there is non available on my bank or my parents has given me some cash and I needed more, i tend to transfer some of the left overs to my binance wallet and trade it for Naira and get the cash into use. But I came to realize that always withdrawing the money on your steemit account, keeps the reputation and you steempower stagnant, but when u invest in your power up, you get to find out that your steempower and reputation increases, but that doesn't stop anyone from making withdrawal any time he or she needs it, beside we all came to make money that would help us a students on not to depend fully on our parents. The money I tend to withdraw from my account I call them left overs the ones I wasn't to use and power up.

Some limitations I experienced in steemit

  • Post limitations
  • Academics

Truely, it's not as easy as many think it was, before I joined I found out that my roommate was always reading some books in order for him to put things together and get some posts done. He even ends up not sleeping sometimes at night. When I joined, it became part of me not to sleep and also not to make posts who are plagiarized by just copying from somewhere else to paste on the platform which is very wrong and against the community standard. Most at times after making these posts I become discouraged due to the fact that I don't get a massive up vote and it was something I couldn't take. Sometimes I get massive upvote from community curators that was amazing, I was encouraged, but most of the posts I had were poorly voted .

I thought maybe my Post weren't quality or were not required by the curators. At a point I gave up on making posts. Not only because of the way I was voted but my mobile device started making it very hard and a hell for me to type somethings, so I had to give steemit a red light at that time. But when I got my screen fixed and the phone was back I managed to make posts again. I was actually trying to make money to get a new phone, I had to power down and, when I got the phone I started a fresh like a newbie. Seriously I hasn't been easy.
Steemit requires hardwork and consistency, I must not say only steemit requires that but anywhere one finds his or her self he requires hardwork and consistency to get to the top. I got to find out that most of the people I joined the community with had gone very far and I was behind in all but reputation, steempower and some community tags.
I was challenged to pick the bull by the horn and continue the ride. I must tell the community that from henceforth it is forward move to getting to the top .

Academics

I didn't notice any lag in my academics because I parted the time very well in order for me not to experience any of such. Most people find it difficult to post on steemit when asked they either say they are busy with school or such I don't think it's nice that way because when u have passion for something you actually bring out your possible best in making it a part of your life. Instead it is of a great help to my time management and also thinking faculty to bring good ideas.

Conclusion

In all I would say steemit is the best online platform I have ever met in my life, it's legitimacy is something most of the so-called online paying sites cannot even manage. The fact that most people think it will crash in a second is what I keep laughing at because before you can think of meeting a block-chain crash it is something very difficult for the developers to experience. And as a student, you have to engage fully in an academic motivated program to boost your thinking and research ability.

Thanks to everyone who has made this contest come through it's an honor.
