HOW I PREPARED A QUALITY DELICACY ON CAMPUS
QUALITY MEAL PREPARED WITH N2,000 ON CAMPUS
Under this ASUU strike, I decided to cook a delectable treat to satisfy my gastronomical desires after receiving a sum of 2k from my Bestie on Sunday. Because the cost of food is skyrocketing, I made sure to precisely manage the fund so that it would be sufficient.
BREAKDOWN OF THE N2,000
Chicken N1200
Fresh Tomatoes N200
Sachet Tomatoes N200
Stew season N50
RAW EGG (3) N240
TOTAL: N1890
I already had the remainder of the components and consumables, such as pepper (grown in my neighborhood, went to plug), rice, beans Maggie, onions, thyme, groundnut oil, salt and water.
Because I was going to prepare rice and beans (of course, I couldn't overlook or betray my one and only beans in this rare delicacy), I quickly washed the beans for parboiling, then filtered it before adding the rice and cooking it.
The story continues in the photos.. just scroll through to read every step I took to finally prepare and devour the meal😋😆
These were the foodstuffs and ingredients used all throughout the cooking 😊. Cooking can be achieved with planned ingredients I guess.
I took my time to slice this onions, jeez I cried while slicing it😭 onions do make me shed tears for no reason and and I still console myself afterward 🤣🤣🤣
That's the tomatoes for N200, the woman gave me seven piece, I sliced it randomly preparing it to be pounded... Mehn Things are quite expensive 😒
I took time to slice these pepper, I just love the taste of these specie of pepper 😊
So we now have a set of Onions, pepper and tomatoes. Let's continue...
Yes, I pounded it and made it smoother 😊... PRECAUTION: I ensure it doesn't splatter or splash while pounding...
That's me enjoying the pounding 😂 it's been long I pounded last🤣
After washing the beans, I decided to first parboil it.
After parboiling and filtering the Beans, I washed the rice and added it.
Rice and beans was set, I had to start working on the rest stuffs...
I washed the chicken, put it in pot for steaming... Added Maggie, onions, salt and thyme... Made sure the water was much at all😊
Groundnut oil was ready, let's fry the meat😊
Process of trying it 😊... I was tempted to start eating the meat oo 🙆 but I tried my best not to fall into temptation 🤣
Finally we have our chicken fried😊 so I head over preparing the stew properly
Groundnut oil ready for frying the stew, I made sure it congealed.
The frying started, my neighbors have started calling my name🤣🤣
The stew is finally ready 🙌
Served the meal! Two sachet water will be enough! The meal was for first round though 😊
Earlier on one of my neighbor who was distracted by the scent of my meal and couldn't resist it, I called and served a portion to the neighbor😊...
Me working on the real deal properly 😊😋
The meat was soft and succulent, I earlier steamed it very well until it was soft before frying it.
Wow! I was already done before I couldn't believe my eyes 😊 but wait...
Noo na! I had to finish everything! Don't want to waste any food😊
That smile describes the joy that flowed right from belly through my whole body🤣 I kept on getting the sensation of my eyes wanting me to sleep, I was smiling and floating in dizziness 😊... Thanks so much for reading...

It's a lie boss😹 you didn't prepare this rich meal with just ₦2000. Well, I guess the economy is slightly fair in your region.
