My Best Day on Campus

The University of Nigeria Enugu Campus even with all its travail, stress and strength draining school activities students still find away to create beautiful moments and these moments or events are red letter days, best days in campus that I can't forget. I have a lot of beautiful days in UNEC but only one stands out for me and that was My First LAWSA WEEK in the Faculty of LAW, UNEC that was in my 100 level.

In the prestigious Faculty of LAW, LAWSA week is a time every Law Student looks forward to, this week is usually packed with a lot of fun filled activities, this week is one of the liveliest in school, very colorful and above all not much lectures hold during this week. During LAWSA Week (Law Student Association Week) the normal Black and White outfit are replaced with designated outfit.

On Monday we wore Co-operate, Tuesday Traditional, Wednesday Sports day so we wear our Sports outfit, Thursday Costume day and on Friday our Bonfire Night and on Saturday our LAWSA Dinner.

Like I said a very colorful event outside the depressing black and white uniform. The costume day was fun. A lot of students all dressed up as their favorite fictional characters. It was like Halloween but in the day time. It was nice seeing law students looking different. This costume day was the first of its kind and we were the envy of the whole school. Other faculties adopted it like a trend.

Friday was our Bonfire Night, it was all night till the next day. I parties hard like never before. A huge fire was blazing on the faculty ground as students in their numbers circled round, it was magnificent. The DJ did an excellent job he played mad jams that got everybody dancing. It was amazing. A lot of competition were held to keep the mood alive, the whole ground was bubbling with energy.

On Saturday, we went on an excursion trip to the Enugu State House Of Assembly. We witnessed how bills were presented and passed in the house. It was exciting for me because is just like witnessing what you are taught in Constitutional Law Class, also it gave me that thrill feeling seeing the political elites formulate policies that govern the state. We were not the only school in attendance, there were even foreign guests as well.

In the evening was our LAWSA Dinner night, a grand event and a beautiful way to end the LAWSA Week. During this Dinner Party Law Students gather together to form a communion and this dinner extends to when we become practicing lawyers. So this Dinner is like we are being instilled a tradition. I went with my date for the dinner party. I had a wonderful experience. These are my BEST DAYS in CAMPUS.
