Campus Connect Week 25 Contest- Life After College - Total Prize Pool 30 Steem

Hi campusconnect community, I hope we are all doing great, so this is my entry on this contest Life After College. Even prior to this contest we as students have at one point thought about what we want to make out of ourselves after the University. The things we want to achieve and the impact we want to make.

I am a 300 level Law Student of the University of Nigeria Enugu Campus, by the grace of God and the mercy of ASUU and the Federal Government I will be done with college next year 2023.

As a law student and one who intends to add Barrister to my name I will head to Law School after I am done with my Five years course in the University. I will spend a maximum of 1 year at law school where I will gather the training and qualification needed to become a practicing advocate.

After Law School I will embark on my NYSC program which will also last for a year in-service to my country. I wouldn't like to stay in the South East cause I have been in this region all my life neither will I want to go to the North because of insecurity. I don't think I will be going for any Master or PHD program if I stay in Nigeria.

What kind of life do you want after college?

It is my dream to be self made in this country, I am one of those few persons that don't want to travel out of this country until I hit it big provided this country does not ruin itself. I have understood one thing, to achieve the life of glamour and success i want in this country, I must get power to secure and to protect. To do this as a graduate I will get recruited into the Navy.

Why the Navy? Nigerias Navy Force is one of the largest and highly respected military arm in Africa, their discipline and combat skill is something that have always drawn me towards it, being a graduate will give me a upper hand in the Navy. University graduates get promoted easily and they are in charge of mostly administrative duties and as a graduate of law that is plus one. However I will like to experience a little bit of combat as this will help my portfolio. To achieve this I will forfeit practicing law, I don't think I have interest in litigation but the certificate will serve me well in the military.

I will serve diligently and rise above the ranks, this will give me access to the big guns in the country, top politicians and the elites. With the connections I will be able to get i will delve into other sectors like Energy Production, Real Estate and Transportation. So the military will be a stepping stone after college to achieve a life of success, authority and power. Without this three you cannot stand out in this country.

However if this country continues to trail on the path of destruction and economic hardship, I will have no other choice but to live this country in search of greener pastures. When I move over to the United States, then I will do my Masters and attend law school there as well. I will also go for a PHD in Public Administration in the United States. When I am done I can either work in a big Law Firm in the states or apply for a government job . So I have my plan A and plan B just in case one fails. The goal is never to be caught unguard.
