Hello Steemians this is my first post in this community and I am so delighted to be a participant.
Leadership is all about knowing your teammates in and out it tells about bringing yourself to level of others so you can understand each other, leadership is not by carrying yourself or praising yourself, your ability to handle any situation and be able to coordinate a team is what makes one a leader.
Assuming I am a leader in any association team or group and there is a competition at hand and my absence makes the other members to tell reluctant in participating, I will feel really down because they are about bringing down the name of the team. But if this following Things exist in any team then they won't need a leader to go with them anywhere because they can stand on their own.
- Planning: the team needs to be coordinated before the event, this means planning should be done, this is deciding what should be done and when,then allow them work.
- Organizing: already a leader knows what should be done, so you decide who does it,when dividing task amongst teammates, avoid breaking those that are linked together.
Delegating: delegating work individually in a way that makes everyone know the role he is playing and also know what is expected of them.
Empower The Entire Members To Be Leaders: by giving the team freedom to initiate and contribute in decision making, it will make them feel empowered and they will perform very Don't Allow them to start saying we where not giving the chance to do this or do that. Giving them equal respect is necessary.
- Do Not Nitpick Them, Allow Them make decisions together:
As a leader, you shouldn't be the only one that will be talking or making decisions, instead give them Directive and deadline, then allow the team divide work amongst themselves.
Always Show Appreciation After Each Task Done: Recognize the effort put in by the team,this will make them feel happy and increase their interest to continue.
Knowing The Strength Of Your Team: getting to know the strength, behavior and motivation of individual can help you bring together the unity in a team.
Getting The Team On The Same Page: try aiming at the goal, sit down as teammates explain the short and long-term goals and be open to their suggestions.
Let Them Know The Purpose Of The Task: make sure they know the sim of the event, and their part is essential in achieving till the end.

If the process above is being observed in a team, they won't have to worry about the presence of any leader, coordination does not just happen,it has to be worked at, avoid getting too involved as a leader once they have their freedom they can roll perfectly well.
