Cultism
will be today's topic and I hope we all take home one useful point or two.

WHAT IS CULTISM

First of all I would like to talk about what cult and cultists are.

A CULT
is a group or an organization who indulges in secret and extreme activities only known to it's members based on strong beliefs and doctrine and idolation of a leader. ____________________________________
A CULTIST
is someone or anyone belonging to a cult group or organization. ____________________________________
CULTISM
can be defined as the act of belonging to an organization or social group who indulges in secret activities that are known only to members of the group. Cultism is a hazardous act practiced here in our country, towns and society and it is a major problem in School, universities and even non-educational environment.

CAUSES OF CULTISM

Cultism is caused by the following reasons;

• LACK OF DISCIPLINE: Most of this cult members got involved in this dubious act as a result of of improper upbringing and neglection from parents, others might have had parents who where thugs, believed so much in violence or are even cult members themselves and as the saying goes " the apple those not fall far from the tree" the children or child might grow up to become cultists themselves.

• REVENGE: Some of us have suffered heart break, crushing ones from a relationship, oppression from higher authority be it lecturers security guard or police because as we all know police brutality is no news to any of us or from anyone holding power, being robbed, being scammed. I was scammed recently and I can tell you it was not a good feeling, and when one suffers from any of the heart breaking experience listed above the need to settle the scores can lead us to whether knowingly or unknowingly to do things we might later regret and not be able to get out of, and one of them might be cultism.

• PEER PRESSURE: A saying goes "show me your friends and I will tell you who you are " the people we spend time with can influence our actions and lives positively or otherwise and we get mixed up with the wrong kind of people they can push us to experiment and try out things we never thought we would do might even be something as bad as joining a cult.

• SECURITY AND PROTECTION: In our quest of feeling safe and secure in this wicked and cruel world one might decide to test the saying "there is safety in numbers" and join a group you think might offer this protection, although you might receive the protection but there will be consequences which you might not consider which is a very big mistake not considering the risk of your actions.

SOLUTIONS TO CULTISM

• Awareness of the consequences of cultism from primary schools.

• Laws against cultism should be passed by government.

• Incentive should be given to cultists to encourage giving up cultism.

• Standard of living should be increased to enable better life for citizens.

• People should be made aware of the influence of friends and should be guided by that when choosing their friends.
Thanks again for this opportunity and your support @whitestallion, @jueco, @goodybest, @xeldal, @davosimple, @dayographix
