I'm glad to make my entry here for the first time. Thanks to @goodybest for organizing a wonderful contest that is themed on Steem growth through powerups.

POWER UP

The way to the top on the Steem Blockchain is Powerup

You desire to be among the top whales on Steemit, then master the art of powering up your Steem earnings.

What is Powerup?

Powerup is simply converting your liquid Steem to Steem Power on the Steem Blockchain.

This step can be carried out on your Steem wallet under the first section where you have STEEM. Simply select "POWER UP", input the amount of liquid Steem you want to power up and click "Ok". And You have successfully powered up!

WHY POWER UP?

Many think Powering up their earnings is a denial to enjoy their earnings.
Little do they know that the bigger and better way to enjoy their earnings is to Powerup all or some of it.

Let me throw more light:

• Powering up a percentage of your Steem earnings increases your Steem power

• With increased Steem power, you have influence on the Steem Blockchain. Your votes count , it gives monetary value on the posts you upvote.

• Powering up gives you more Steem power to be able to support other's posts. Besides your good comments, you get to upvote with value on their posts.

• Higher Steem power helps you to enjoy more curation rewards when you upvote on quality posts, meaning,you enjoy more Steem earnings from upvoting.

• With enough Steem power, you can delegate to support community growth and be able to enjoy delegation rewards.

• When you cultivate a culture of power ups, you save up steem, . Saving up steem increases its scarcity in the crypto market. And scarcity has a way of increasing the value of Steem.

MY POWERUP ACTIVITY

Below is my Powerup activity done on 02/08/2022 towards attaining 500 SP.

I was able to power up 40.552 Steem, Increasing my Steem power from 461.610 SP to 502.162 SP.

I can't wait to attain a 1000SP as this is my next target. I know this is still far from becoming a 🐬 ( owing a 5000SP). Little drops of water becomes an ocean. With consistent power ups, I believe it will be achieved one day.
