Steemit Engagement Challenge S9W5: Are You Ready To Become An Entrepreneur

Welcome to week 5 of the engagement contest. This week, I will be discussing why I want to be an entrepreneur and how I will run my business.

Yes, I want to be an entrepreneur and creator of job opportunities for others. Most of my experiences working for others have made me hungry to own something of mine. Being an entrepreneur gives me options and access to a lot of things that work for others wouldn't normally give me.

First, who is an entrepreneur? An entrepreneur sees opportunity where and when others don't see it. No one is born an entrepreneur. It takes one innovative and passionate enough to identify the needs of the common man and how to satisfy and provide solutions to the problem. Not just the passion, but knowing how to use the necessary tools available to make a headway.

• One who has a vision: A good entrepreneur has a vision and set of goals on what, when, and how to go about these ideas.

• Must be Disciplined: Putting in the work to achieve what you want can be a hassle. Sometimes, others might not believe your dreams, it is left to you to hold onto it and keep showing up. This discipline is what drives your motivation to wake up and stay up late to achieve what you want.

You must show up to do the work, even when you don't feel like it.

• Curious and eager to learn: Good entrepreneurs follow the trends. They look for opportunities to grow and boost their businesses.

• Creative: You must be creative to meet up with the ever-changing world. The ability to think outside the box and see what others aren't seeing.

• Confident: You must be co didn't of the choices you take, of taking a step further. Fear has not helped anyone, it motivates you ahead. To be a risk-taker and step out of your comfort zone.

• You must be honest and accountable in all your dealings.

• An Entrepreneur makes (SMART) - Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, Time-bound

I have a goal to start a Social Media Marketing Agency (SMMA) in the next 2 years.

I aim to help small businesses and brands build authority, gain visibility, and build loyal customers that will generate lead conversion for their products and services.

With countless brands and small businesses springing up every day doing a lot of things, few know or have the time towards building a strong presence online which we help elicit authenticity.

A Social Media Marketing services includes

• Social Media Management: helps manage the entire social media presence. Sometimes, there's a page revamping.

• Social Media Strategy: Strategy to identify what suits the comoany best.

• Bio Optimization
• Brand Vision and Mission Statement
• Discover content that resonates with the business.
• Social handles that will be used when and how.

• Content Development: All media account are approached differently. Here, we draft and develop various content that will help build brand, which content will suit which social media. Content calendar comes under this. It could be a weekly, monthly or quarterly content calendar that will build the brand.

• Campaigns Ads. Generate more leads for their services by running a Google Ads, YouTube Ads, Facebook and Instagram Ads, Tiktok Ads or LinkedIn Ads depending on what the brand wants.

My elder sister owns a small catering business, making and distributing cakes, small chops, and snacks for her clients. She wants to learn decoration and event planning to add to her expertise. Her catering business has really helped the family a lot. Every morning, she is up by 5 am to prepare these snacks to go out before 8 am when they usually sell them to students and people going out.

Starting and running a business is not easy. It is not for the faint-hearted but one who is ready to go theough the challenges that will definitely happen but still come out looking stronger.
