SEC-S9W1 - Nearer to the Steem Representative.

I must say this is a contest topic that comes with so much uniqueness, especially amongst the S9W1 presentations. A topic that intentionally wants us to draw closer to the activities of the system and those representatives just selected by the team. Let's get started on this topic immediately...

Your impressions with them

My impression of the newly selected steemit representatives is positive. Before the introduction and emergence of these representatives, the system has been running on the use of country representatives (CR) which over time had challenges of users going against the basic rules and hence exiting from the platform and as well creating a vacuum.

Therefore the introduction of steemit representatives is timely and also all-encompassing as this would help coordinate users across regions and countries without necessarily having to be limited to only one country of origin. I believe this would help reposition this task that was already seen discharged by the Country Reps.

However, I feel positive about these selected few as they are already master users of the platform and as well great content providers to the platform for both new and existing Steemians. With the task given to them, I believe they are positioned for excellence and positive delivery to all a sundry.

The list of names selected is almost without blemish and hence exemplary of the platform they represent. With these exalted functions, they are invariably role models to all on the platform.

Also write positive things that inspire you from it.

This is a development that would remove incidences of loopholes and vacuum the oversight roles of the representatives. Unlike what was obtainable before now where so many country reps exited the platform and hence there was no hierarchy or guidance for users from that particular country. A situation where multiple reps powered down and exited the platform.

This current representative in place brings about all-around quality representation to users across the system. There are no limits or boundaries for users to interfere with but rather at will with full flexibility to bring value to the platform.

It brings about conscious role model status to the representatives. The role model status represents their quality contribution from ideas shared via articles as well as the correctness of posts presented at all times.

I also envisage this category of people to be direct mediators between them and the steemit team. In a course of their interaction with users and the community, vital concerns could be communicated through this channel to the team seamlessly.

Have you ever met in person or just communicated via Discord, WhatsApp, Telegram, or something else.

My first two views on those questions were greatly inspired by one of the steem representatives that I communicated with via one of the social media platforms. I have only communicated via this channel though haven't met before.

This user happens to reside or come from the southern part of Africa and has displayed so much place for integrity, value, and quality to many. I have watched and observed this user and steem representative from afar before now but we got communicated after being selected as one of the steem Reps.

I was not wrong about my views about her before her selection and I was not also surprised that she made the list of selected steem Reps. By the mention of @patjewell, one would want to remember a user who is so compassionate
about others, a user that wants others to succeed just as she does, and a sincere and supportive fellow.

What are your hopes for the elected Steem representatives

I am of high hopes for the selected users who made the list of steem representatives. By looking through the list, these are user names who have mastered the platform and contributed immensely to the overall growth of the platform.

They have at different stages of their reputation success, impacted so many through this ladder of success. They basically know the importance of this new portfolio and hence would deliver on set goals accordingly.

Just as I mentioned one of the steem representatives who I got communicated with, not simply shows purposefulness in achieving and knowing what is expected of such a role. Inquiries were made on the country's community concerns and possible solutions to support accordingly. These singular unaided moves signify hope.

Conclusion

I must tell us that the repositioning that comes with steem reps from country reps was a well-thought-out one tailored towards purposeful deliveries. This emergence would help regularize the difficulties and deficiencies of CRs. This in addition would bring about ideas and contributions to move the platform across all fonts irrespective of the region or zone.
