Assalamu Alaikum,
Hello everyone,

How are you all, hope all are well and healthy by God's grace. Alhamdulillah, I am also well with your prayers. Today I will participate in a great contest in the steem entrepreneurs community. The theme of the contest is "My Agriculture Project". So let's get started.
What was the first crop in your life that you started growing and why? |
---|
I grew up in the village since childhood and my parents were always farmers. So I never did just watch my parents do farming. However, after marriage, with the encouragement of my mother-in-law, I planted vegetables in a small plot of land near the house. Through this vegetable garden, I can eat vegetables throughout the year and sometimes I can sell some.
I have been doing vegetable farming for two years and still going. I do winter vegetables. Currently I am working on brinjal plant, pepper plant, gourd plant and tomato plant. Me and my mother-in-law are very happy to grow vegetable garden. Since we are always growing vegetable garden now, we don't have much problem in raw market.
Have you done a backyard or field farming project? Give reason for selection of location. |
---|
Yes I have done agricultural projects in backyard and some areas near the house i.e. vegetable garden. These areas around the house were fallow and I have utilized these areas through agriculture. I spend my free time in this vegetable garden and take care of the vegetable plants. As we are village people and the main occupation of the village is agriculture. It means that our agriculture today is mixed with blood so we cannot think of anything but agriculture.
Along with the men of the house, the women also help in the agricultural work, thereby increasing the agricultural work and successfully raising the crops at home. Like I was counting brinjal seedlings in the yard and from there now I am picking brinjal which I can cook as per my requirement during Ramadan. It should not be bought from my market. Interestingly, I still pick tomatoes from the nearby gourd and tomato plants near my house to cook during Seheri. I think the main reason for the position in agriculture could not be better.
How do you take care of your agricultural projects? |
---|
I first select the soil to plant the plants in. We usually use domestic cow dung dried in our house as a natural organic fertilizer. Then I plant the seedlings and water them daily regularly and make organic fertilizers naturally. Here I do not use any purchased fertilizers.
All the vegetables in my vegetable garden are formalin free, fresh and fresh. Vegetables from vegetable garden are very delicious to eat because they grow naturally. Without vegetables from vegetable garden, I don't take good care of it like a mother takes care of her child. It is not necessary to take care of it, without taking care, success cannot be achieved in the field of agriculture.
Where did you sell your crops? How did you sell? How much profit have you made? |
---|
As I mentioned earlier, I have a vegetable garden in the backyard and a small plot of land next to the house. From where I can meet my family's vegetable needs. I grow vegetables according to the season in the land. So I rarely buy vegetables from the market. I think there is nothing to gain from it. But sometimes I sell my gourds. Because I have more gourds than I need. And these I sell to neighbors around my house. I sold another gourd for about 60 taka to 80 taka whose steam price is 1.3 to 1.7. So far I have sold about 10 to 12 gourds. So far I have made a profit of 700 rupees by selling gourds whose Stum price is 15.
My biggest gain is that I can feed my family fresh and formalin free vegetables from my garden. Apart from satisfying the demand, what is being sold is my profit. As my vegetable garden is still going, hopefully I can sell tomatoes and gourds to neighbors in addition to meeting my family's needs.
