Economic Activities Diary Game | March 11th, 2022 | Shopping for the weekend in my local market
Greetings amazing entrepreneurs
Hope you all are doing great? I wish you all the best today in your day to day activities and hope that get massive profits in our business today.
Inorder not to run out of foodstuffs or other groceries that I might be needing during the week, I love doing my shopping on Fridays.
And because I needed to make my local soup and stew for the week, I decided to go to the local market in my area where I could get the food items that I will use the make my local soup and at a cheap price too.
Firstly, I made a list of the food items that I needed on my notepad app in my smartphone. And the food items that I needed and my transport fare costed N5,500 in my local currency and that is about in 31.7 steem and 2.3 SBD respectively
And before I could round up with other house chores at home it was almost approaching afternoon. My local market is a bit far from my apartment and coupled with the fact that it was a very sunny day, I got a motorcycle that took me there.
Getting there I noticed that the road leading to the market which has been under construction for months now was being worked on.
Well, I had to go ahead with my shopping. The first thing I bought was the dry fish and stockfish that I needed to use and make my soup. Making my local soup with these items is really necessary as it adds taste to the soup.
I went ahead and bought Egusi or grounded melon, Achi or soup thickner and Ukazi leaf. These are the necessary ingredients needed for my local soup called "UKAZI SOUP" This kind of soup is peculiar to Nigerian Easterners precisely Ngwa.
Buying onions in big quantity from the abokinas is really cheaper and because I get to buy a big quantity at a cheaper too I took advantage of the opportunity and bought some that could serve me the whole week.
I also bought Kpomo meat or cow skin meat for my local soup. I really love it in my soup especially when I cut it into tiny tiny pisces.
I bought Eba/garri too. This will serve as swallow for my Ukazi soup. Buying 1 full paint that could serve me for like 1 month ain't a bad idea.
I stopped by to buy some fresh tomatoes and pepper for stew that I will use to eat my white rice whenever I make some. And I was lucky to get fresh ones too.
I bought fresh fish too. The type I usually use is now too expensive "Mackerel fish" so I had to go for a cheaper fish "Shawa fish"
I also bought some sachet of milk and sugar that I could use for my early morning tea.
The table shows the prices of the different food items purchased by me in my local currency, steem and SBD.

So while I was waiting to get a bike that will take me home, I noticed that the construction of the road that was going on, put everyone on a hold.
I waited for the tractor to do it's work and that was how I saw this sweet oranges and I bought some for N200 and that is about 1.15 in steem and 0.08 in SBD. After I bought them, the road was free again and I finally got a motorcycle and headed home.
Friends, that was how my Economic activities for this day went. I'm glad I did my weekend shopping in my local market and I look forward to doing this again.
Till next time! Bye!
