Hello Everyone
This is @max-pro from, #Bangladesh

Assalamu Alaikum friends. Hope you all are well. By the grace of Allah I am also well. Today I will review the raw market of my village. Raw market means vegetables, fish, fresh produce etc. are available there. These villages are considered fresh vegetables.

Village markets are generally simple and lively. These are usually where local farmers, fishermen and artisans sell their products. Fruits, vegetables, fish, meat, spices, rice and pulses, household goods etc. are available in the markets.

The atmosphere of the village market is quite intimate and friendly. Here there is good communication and friendly relationship between buyer and seller. The market is more crowded in the morning.

Especially in market day, where people come from far and wide to do the market. Markets are usually open-air or under canopy and have simple structures inside. There are many small shops or stalls around the market where local cottage industry products are also sold.

Village market cloths are generally readily available and relatively cheap. Locally produced fabrics such as Dhakai jamdani, loom sarees, lungis, and handloom fabrics are abundant here.

The quality of these fabrics is generally good and their patterns and designs reflect rural traditions. Besides, synthetic fabrics such as polyester, nylon, and cotton blends are also available in village markets, which are sold at lower prices than in cities.

A wide variety of vegetables are usually available in the village markets. Such as spinach, red leafy greens, green leafy greens, coriander leaves, gourd, pumpkin, bitter gourd, sweet potato, brinjal, green chillies, radishes, potatoes, tomatoes, green beans etc. These also include some seasonal vegetables.

Talking about the price, generally the price of vegetables in the village is much lower than in the city market. Prices vary according to season. For example, vegetables which are cultivated more during the monsoons, have lower prices. However, some vegetables, such as eggplant, potatoes or tomatoes, are available all year round and their prices are fairly stable. Below is the picture of the vegetable and the price below it.

A variety of local fish is usually available in the village markets. Fish from village markets is usually fresh and full of flavor. Brought from local ponds, rivers, or canals, the fish is very fresh. A large number of native fish are available in the market, such as Rui, Katla, Mrigel, Punti, Tengra, Shing, Magur etc. Hilsa, prawns and other fish are also available depending on the season. The price of fish in rural huts is relatively cheap, and many times buyers can buy fish directly from the fishermen, which is a big advantage for them. These include:

How is the shopping and business situation in the village market compared to the city?

Shopping and business in village markets is quite different than in cities. Village markets are usually held weekly or on certain days. Where local farmers, small traders and artisans sell their products. Fresh vegetables, fruits and vegetables, fish and meat, and handicraft items are available here. Prices are generally lower than in the city because there are fewer middlemen and the products come directly from the producers.

In village markets, business is based on personal relationships and trust between buyers and sellers, which is much less common in cities. The city's business model tends to be more corporate and institutional, offering branded goods and services. In contrast, village bazaars are more representative of the local economy, where the main sources of livelihood are agriculture and handicrafts.

Some business ideas of rural market and its benefits
  • Idea : Organic fruits, vegetables and grains can be sold in our village market. Rural areas usually produce chemical-free food, which is quite popular with city dwellers. Various handicrafts made in rural areas, such as earthenware, carvings, bamboo products etc. can be sold in the market.

  • Fish can be farmed and sold directly in village markets. The demand for local fish is especially high. A small tourist center can be developed around the village market, where tourists will have the opportunity to learn about the local culture, market environment and local products.

  • Advantages : The demand for organic products is increasing day by day. This can be a profitable business for local farmers, as they can sell their products directly to consumers, which will reduce the cost of the middleman. This will serve as a source of income for local artists and will provide an opportunity for their products to reach the market. Besides, these products will be known to the people of the city.

  • Fisheries is a profitable business and it increases the livelihood opportunities of local fishermen. Besides, there is always a demand for fresh fish in village markets, which is suitable for business.

  • Local economic development : Through the implementation of these business ideas, income opportunities will be created for the people of the village and economic development will be accelerated.

  • Preservation of Culture : Local culture, products and handicrafts will be developed and opportunities for preservation will be created.

  • New Employment : New businesses will create various types of employment opportunities, which will help reduce unemployment in the villages.

  • Increased social connectivity : Village haats will increase the connectivity of city people with locals, which will build a foundation for mutual cooperation.

Finally, the fun reasons to shop in our village markets are mainly related to the atmosphere, sociality and fresh and authentic quality of the products. Fresh and natural products such as vegetables, fruits, fish, meat etc. are available in the village market. These products come directly from local farmers and fishermen, so they are fresh and chemical-free, which is much more attractive than city markets. A variety of local products are available in village markets, which are not easily available in city markets. For example, different types of vegetables, native fish, handicrafts etc. This diversity makes the market attractive.
