The difference between hard work and smart work is very clear. Hard simply means using your physical strength to accomplish a task, whereas smart means using your brain or an intellectual device to accomplish a task. Hard work is the type of work that involves the use of our physical and mental efforts in doing it. This hard work involves a person spending more time to accomplish a task.
Smart work, on the other hand, is the type of work that doesn't require a lot of our time. It's a work that requires the use of machinery to accomplish. In this type of work, you can only spend less of your time doing it and allow machines to complete the task for you.

In terms of boosting productivity, smart work is better. With smart work, a company can produce more of their products daily than with hard work. Smart work makes life easier and faster than hard work, which brings suffering to someone.

Yes, I apply both to my work activities. A perfect example is here on the Steemit platform, where I have to spend time and days writing quality content, which is hard work. Posting the content and allowing it to generate rewards is smart work, but writing is an aspect of hard work.
