Hello Steemians, greetings to you, and welcome to my post today. I trust you are doing well and having a nice time with your loved ones. I am here to share with you my entry to the contest organized in Steem Entrepreneurs Community, titled "Learn to appreciate a drop of water.
What is the function of water in life? |

Water is a universal gift that makes up more than two-thirds of the weight of my body and that of everyone else.
As human beings, without consuming water, we would not be alive or healthy enough to go about our daily activities. Water is very important in life, as all the organs and cells in humans need water to function.
In humans, body water can be classified into four different functions, such as:
- Temperature regulator
- Transportation Engine
- Medium for chemical reactions and
- lubricant absorber.
The function of water is greater than that of food. Water is life, and without it, as said earlier, all the cells and organs in humans will die off. With water, blood, and white blood cells, digestion can be done easily in humans lives. In addition to this function, water regulates our body temperature through a process called perspiration.
Furthermore, water makes up saliva and the fluids surrounding our joints, which have free flow. This is an important reason why sickle cell patients are always advised to drink plenty of water daily. Finally, to the function of water in life: Water helps the human body prevent and relieve constipation by moving the food we have eaten through the intestines down to the anus.
How do we describe the value of a drop of water? |

A drop of water means water that is universal and free for everyone. The access that people have to water is equal to a drop of water. Water is known as a universal substance that sustains life.
In addition to this, a drop of water also means rainwater, water that is given to you by someone else when you are tasty, or water that you drink at a moment's notice. Finally, a drop of water is the water that you drink immediately after you have finished eating.
How is the availability of clean water in your area? |

My area is blessed with a surplus of clean water, ranging from tap water to borehole, well, and even rainwater. All this is free water that is accessible to everyone in my area.
In my area, tap water is situated close to my apartment, so you can see how clean the water is. The water above is mainly used for washing and cooking foods. My drinking water is pure water (sachet water) and bottle water. Pure water and bottle water are more clean than tap water because they have already been purified by the manufacturing company.

Greetings to my friend that you have participated in this engagement challenge of season 9 and week 2. I am very happy that you have explained all the questions in a very good way but if you explain more deeply then it would be more good but over all you have given a good overview of all the things that you know about the importance of water.
I agree with you that water is a temperature regulator because if you don't drink water then you disturbed homeostasis in your body and I am hopeful that homeostasis is a process that always regulate in your body and it is basically for the maintenance of the temperature in your body. And yes I agree with you that water is also important for the survival of life.
You are from one of the luckiest people who have a clean availability of water because it's very important to drink the clean water as if you don't drink the clean water then it will cause you a lot of health problems and diseases.

You have rightly pointed out the functions. I'll briefly through light on these points as a h alth professional.
Temperature regulation is carried out through the process of perspiration or sweating which involve evaporation of water and produce cooling effect.
Transportation function is due to its solvent property due to which useful solites and waste products are dissolved in it and transported to the target destinations.
Chemical reactions like photosynthesis in plants and excretion/absorbtoon/assimilation in humans are carried out by water .
Water constitutes an important component of the synovial fluids within the joints which facilities easy movement of the bones over each other and prevent friction and also act as shock absorber.

Good to see you again in Week 2 contest with again good content from your side.
You said it right water is more important than food because without food we can live maximum of 1 month but without water we can't live more than 3 days. There are many few people due to their body type can survive for more than 3 days but it is rare case.
Value of drop of water is highest than any other element on earth in my view. Because if you have gold or even diamond what will you do if you have no water? You can check water worth just by not drinking water for 12 hours.
Happy to see that your area has clean water supply and it is available for every person for free. Water is seriously very important and we are taking it not serious by wasting it a lot. We must save as much water as possible because in the future water crisis will come due to increasing population and decreasing water sources.

Commercial bottled water is not reliable, and its table of contents is generally false. Here in Venezuela, after multiple complaints, water from plastic bottles of a very cooked soft drink brand was withdrawn from the market, as well as the bottled water from a water bottler of another company, also very well known. For my part, I would never drink water from any company and even less the one that comes through a pipe called "drinking water" Take care my friend, -Not all that glitters is gold". Best regards.
