Outside the sky is still dripping rain, wetting my yard. In my room I quickly got up to go to the bathroom. Although the cold pierced my body, I immediately opened the bathroom door to refresh my body and eyes that still felt sleepy.

This morning I have an agenda to take part in the National Economic Survey (Susenas) training at the Diana Hotel, Lhokseumawe City. This training was organized by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Lhokseumawe City. I quickly put on my jacket and started my motorbike. It started to rain a little. I immediately drove my motorbike to Diana Hotel.

Before 8 am, I arrived at the training location. I went straight to the hotel lobby and asked the receptionist for the location of the event. The receptionist kindly stated that the location of the event I wanted to attend was in the Teuku Nyak Umar Hall. After saying my thanks, I immediately walked into the hall. Exactly at 8 am the event was immediately opened by Iqbal Firdaus, SST,M.App.Ec, M.Si the head of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Lhokseumawe City.

Okay, then I will explain a little about what the National Socio-Economic Survey or abbreviated as SUSENAS is and the benefits of the survey.

When the health crisis has an impact on the national economy, we must also move quickly to provide social assistance to the community through basic food assistance, cash assistance, subsidies and discounts on electricity rates, Village BLT, and salary subsidies; assisting MSMEs in obtaining credit restructuring, obtaining productive banpres in the form of emergency capital assistance, and assisting in the purchase of their products; assist workers who are victims of layoffs, among others through social assistance and the Pre-Employment Card Program.

National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas)

SUSENAS is a survey designed to collect population social data that is relatively very broad. The data collected includes, among others, education, health/nutrition, housing, other socio-economic activities, socio-cultural activities, household consumption/expenditures and income, travel, and public opinion regarding their household welfare.

Methods of collecting data by conducting direct interviews between the enumerator and respondents in each selected household.

Susenas Goals and Benefits

In general, the purpose of collecting data through Susenas is the availability of data on household welfare so that data users or the community get an overview of the socio-economic condition of the community itself which includes, among others, education, health and purchasing power.

Meanwhile, the benefits of Susenas are as follows:

• Availability of basic data on community welfare at the district/city level, which data is very much needed for planning, monitoring and evaluating the success of development.
  A number of detailed data on housing and public health are available at the provincial level.
• Availability of detailed data on the welfare of household members covering the education level of each household member, their health, fertility/KB, and population data by age group, gender, and marital status.
• Availability of detailed data on household consumption consumption in the form of rupiah value or the quantity consumed.
• Availability of data that can be used as a basis for estimating population consumption patterns, adequacy of nutritional consumption, distribution of expenditures and poverty levels at the national level.

That's a brief explanation of the National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas) and its benefits for the government and society. Later, I will serve as coordinator and supervisor for Blang Mangat District, Lhokseumawe City. Now we are back at the training site.

I have attended Susenas training from 8 am to 12 am. I can understand some of the materials related to the related survey documents. Then we had lunch together. Training will start again at 2 pm to 6 pm.

After having lunch together, I went around the Hotel Diana to look at the paintings or pictures on the hotel walls. There are some wall decorations that caught my attention, such as the picture of Kupiah Meukutob (Kupiah Typical of Aceh) and the Aceh Pintoe Coat of Arms. Both objects have a deep history and meaning for the people of Aceh. I also really admire the design of the two objects, very beautiful. Here I show the results of my shots and explanations.

KUPIAH meukeutop is an icon of West Aceh Regency. This traditional Acehnese hat is usually used as a complement to the traditional clothes worn by men. Used during traditional ceremonies and other ceremonies. This KUPIAH is very synonymous with one of the National Heroes from Aceh. Teuku Umar always used this Kupiah when fighting against Dutch colonialism.

Pinto Aceh or also known as Pinto Khop is one of the most famous motifs in Aceh. This motif can even be easily found in every city in Aceh Province. This Aceh Pinto motif was originally the work of art from someone named Mahmud Ibrahim or more familiarly known as Utoh Mud. He is a goldsmith from Blang Oi, Meuraksa District, Banda Aceh City.

The early history of the birth of Aceh Pinto jewelry began in 1926. At that time the Dutch Colonial Government in Kutaraja (now known as Banda Aceh) held the largest satteling (night market) held at the Esplanade (now known as Blang Padang Field). At the night market, the Dutch colonial government gave gold and silver craftsmen the opportunity to open their booths to show off their handicrafts. Because of his skill and skill in forging gold, after the night market was over, a gold and silver craftsman named Mahmud Ibrahim (Utoh Mud) was deemed worthy of obtaining a certificate from the satteling committee.^Source

before 2 pm, I immediately headed to the hall of teuku Umar to return to training. I listen carefully to every material presented by the instructor. It is very important for me to understand the contents of the document so that its application in the field when conducting a survey is in accordance with special operating procedures and the results are in accordance with the aims and objectives of the National Socio-Economic Survey. Today's training lasts until 6 pm and there is still one more day left tomorrow.
