Steemit Engagement Challenge S9W2 - Learn to appreciate a drop of water - Water is Life
As mentioned by the content creator, water is the most essential and basic source of life. Some parts of the world face floods while others go through famine. Let me give you my own views about this most important element in our lives and how we face the water situation in our area.

Although the earth is covered with water from all sides. There is 71% water on our planet, and only 2.9% is drinkable. Now think for yourself about how much of a water shortage we may face in the future. That's why we must think about saving water. No matter what we achieve scientifically, we can make no water artificially.
It is difficult to imagine life without water. Life on earth is absolutely impossible without water, that is why water is called the basic of life. Just as air, food, and land are necessary for our lives, so is water.
Water is a priceless gift given to us by God. And how important this water is for us—we all know very well how difficult it is to live without it, even for a day.

The statement 'Water is life' is absolutely true. Because life cannot be imagined without water. By the way, about three-fourths of our earth is surrounded by water, but 97 percent of that water is not fit for use, that is, it is not fit for human consumption; only 3% of that water is fit for use. Out of this 3%, less than 1% can be used by humans because the rest of the water is frozen as ice in the form of glaciers.
We should take whatever possible measures during the rainy season to collect the water. Because as they say,
"If there is water, then there is tomorrow." - Quote Unknown
By conserving water, we can protect not only the creatures living on this earth but also our future generations. We can conserve by adopting various techniques. For example, rainwater should be preserved for harvesting; flood-affected area water can be stored by making dams, repairing pipelines to save water from wastage, etc.
We all know about the benefits of water and how many we get from it. It is because of water that we see so many beautiful trees, plants, rivers, and ponds. Food is essential for our survival, and in growing that food, water acts like an elixir for the land.
Water is a cool element, and just by consuming it, we get such a pleasure that cannot even be described. Water is useful for purifying our bodies; it also cures many diseases. That's why it becomes our biggest responsibility to save water and prevent it from getting polluted. But considering water is just a small thing, we humans have completely stopped paying attention to it and trying to save it. The fact is, we are causing pain to nature because of our happiness.
Water is an invaluable heritage on earth, which man can preserve by wishing but cannot recreate. According to reports, many countries in the world are facing water crises. If this situation continues then very soon all the living beings on this earth and the species of humans will end. The importance of water can be easily ascertained from the fact that the body of an adult human being is made up of about 60% water.
Water is an essential resource in our lives. We use water hundreds of times from the morning until night. Whether we have to brush or cook Water is required for every thing in our life. When we feel thirsty, it becomes difficult to go without water, even for an hour or two. In such a situation, just imagine what is going to happen if we don't start conserving right now. But for this, all of us will have to take effective steps, and only then will there be a solution to the problem of water scarcity.
Humans are settling in every nook and corner of the earth, due to which forests, trees, plants, and rivers are disappearing from our lives. Due to the change in nature, floods, famine and man-made situation the forests are reducing and so is water.
Water quenches the thirst of living beings. It is not only difficult but impossible to imagine life without it. Water is an element that we need at every stage of life. Without water, neither humans, animals, birds, nor trees can survive; there is only one source of life for everyone, the water. As they say that life is impossible without water; that's why every person must think about saving it.
The National Capital Region is situated between the Rivers Ganga and Yamuna. There is a wide trough between the Great Himalayas in the north and the Deccan Plateau in the south.
This water area can be divided into three sections: upper, middle, and lower. It has a gentle slope and is crossed by several streams. But if we talk about Delhi in particular, there is a severe water crisis here, and the reason for this is the population density in this area.

Delhi has very few sources of water of its own, but most water comes from four main sources. This area includes the rivers Yamuna, Ganga, Beas, through various canals. Yet the people of Delhi are currently facing a water crisis. The geographical location of the capital, and the increasing population is also a reason for this. At present, the demand for water in Delhi is around 1,300 to 1,400 Millions of Gallons Per Day (MGD). However, the supply capacity is only 1,000 Millions of Gallons Per Day (MGD).
From March this year itself, the demand for water started increasing due to increasing heat. The situation became more serious due to the lack of rain. Yamuna is getting lesser water. This is the reason that, at this time, the level of Yamuna's water reservoir has dropped to its minimum level of 668.50 feet against the normal level of 674.00 feet.
So, let's save every drop of water - Water is Life

My region of Sri Lanka has not had that issue. Water is plentiful here. However, there is a water problem in several parts of the nation. Therefore, it is essential to save every drop of water.
All aspects of the subject are covered in your article. Good luck with the contest.
I live on the outskirts of NCR where there is no water shortage but in the main cities the situation is more or less same even in the Ganga's Delta. Thanks for your support.
