Contest: From dream to reality
INTRODUCTION |
---|
Good day steemians, it's a great contest topic to make a true life story that will help motivate and keep someone that's almost falling on the track. Much thanks to @harferri and the community for seeing the contest as a vital one.
We all do have dreams maybe when we are unconscious sleeping during the day or night. Dreams here are certain goals, targets we set to reach or see our ourselves hitting. Growing as child we all had great desires that pushed us to be one thing or the other, maybe a pilot, teacher, doctor or banker. Those listed professions can be categorised as a dream job but it's generally known that not everyone gets to do thier dream job or plans.
Growing as a kid I can't remember loving any profession than drawing and editing. I make drawings and crafts work on sheets of paper littering the house, that alone got my parents upset about such skill but they didn't stop me from pushing some dreams.
How I turned my big dream into reality |

When I was working in a ceramic shop
It all started when my zeal for editing and drawing got so intense that I can't go a day without drawing or mixing colours. Then in my school we didn't have any teacher to take on arts so I switched over to a commercial course, struggling in there almost everyday. I later coped with the course and I was admitted to study banking and finance in the higher institution.
My zeal for art work didn't seize tho, I engaged myself in most of my sister's drawing assignment and my love for it got high. During the academic strike in my school I went on to get a paid job inorder to get a phone maybe for photography and editing which is still pertaining to my dream course.
I started the work not minding how low the pay was, actually that was my first paid job so I was really serious working as a sales boy. The pay didn't much joy to continue the work but my dream for photography and editing was just on my mind, after working for several months I secured the money and acquired a smartphone with 50megapixel which was suitable to start up photography.
How I started
I made a move using my best friend as a model to startup my dream course, Gradually I was getting better and better over time. I started a business of snapping a soft copy with my smartphone for just #200 naira, people started patronising me because my price was low and the quality was intact too.
Challenges I faced and the concrete steps I took to achieve the goals |

In the pursuit of my dream, I was faced with lyot of challenges starting with my health which seem to be a problem while I was working. Told told me to quit the work because it was actually affecting my health but I told her until I reach my dream course. My health wasn't the only challenge I faced the pay i got was also a problem but I held strong by really focusing more in my dream.
Presently now in my town my work is known to be one of the best, I have alot of clients who patronise me on a daily basis because how clean and beautiful my work is. In all I am just happy to see myself making my dreams reality eventhough it's not easy but I make easy by never stopping.
I made edit for a trending eatery*
To know how far have gone in mobile photography, my edits says it all. Just happy to see my dream turned out to be real. In conclusion I want to say this to everyone never to stop dreaming big.
Thanks for going through my post 🥰❤️
