My town with traditional retail. Ebuka retail shop in Akwanga market.
At the retail shop
Hello amazing ones, warm greeting to you all, I am delighted to show my participation at this moment in the steem entrepreneur community, thanks to the steem entrepreneur community for their tireless effort of activeness in the platform, and a special thanks to @f2i5 for such a wonderful contest topic which I will show my participation so keep reading down, please.
There are a lot of retail shops around my environment and mostly in the market, in Akwanga market, there are different shops that sell different things.
I decided to show my town to the world with the traditional retail at Ebuka's shop. He sells provision which includes food items especially unperishable goods and these are the things I purchased from the shop.
I went further to purchase perishable food items and for these, I make use of them within the day because they are perishable food items. I had it in mind to cook stew and okra draw soup to keep in the fridge for consumption for 5 days because I am living alone so I always preserve my food.
Yes, friends, it's my town's market and most retail shops are located in the market, for the fact that the market is far from my home I still love going there for some reasons. Shopping at Ebuka's shop is something I love to do, he is a retailer who sells his goods at a very affordable price and a price that is worth the goods. Ebuka has a lot of workers that assist him in sales therefore, attention is one thing they give to customers.
Akwanga market is located in the northern part of Nigeria and in the north, we farm a lot so food items are not always expensive, and buying direct from the market is cheaper than buying from hawkers or nearby shops at home. I love shopping in Ebuka's shop despite the shop being iI the market but there is an easy access road to the market.
Below are the prices of items I purchased both in my conventional currency and steem equivalence.
Items | price in naira | Steem equivalent |
---|---|---|
A handful of uggu leave | 100 naira | 0.5Steem |
Tomatoes | 300 naira | 1.6 Steem |
Okro | 200 naira | 1.1 Steem |
Chewing gum | 1300 naira | 7 Steem |
Leather | 350 naira | 1.9 Steem |
Two rolls of detergent | 800 niara | 4.4 Steem |
In conclusion friends, life in Akwanga is moderate I.e not too high, items especially food items are very cheap in the north and I am fortunate to be a citizen. My dear friends, in case you are hoping to visit Nasarawa State someday just be comfortable and rest assured that you are coming to the right place.
