Greetings everyone across the entire Steemit Ecosystem. It's a wonderful opportunity to be engaging in the Steem Entrepreneurs community for the very first time since joining the Steemit blockchain in March 2021. I wish to tell the whole world of how the Steemit Platform has changed my life for the better.

Write briefly and clearly how you first got to know steemit and

I live in Umuahia, a city located in Abia State, South East, Nigeria, West Africa. I am a student of Computer Engineering at Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike. Currently, I am in 300 level (or my third year). I got to know about the Steemit blockchain in March 2021 from @davchi. I was staying in the school hostel and one fateful night @davchi who is also a student in the same institution of learning had come to stay with us in the hostel. I remember that night he had been talking excitedly with @samuelj about a platform to which both of them were already registered in and how they were making quite some money from the system.

Unfortunately, I didn't take them too seriously that particular night because I was already into blogging and I was hoping to carve a niche for myself through it. I didn't want to get distracted with any other thing. That particular night passed without March event. However by the time they came in second day and this time around they were describing how they had already been able to settle there tuition fees from the proceeds they got from the system it made a lot of sense to me.

I immediately got interested and I was signed up into the system. I made my first post which was the Introductory Post (that is, Achievement Task One) and I have done up to Achievement Task Four. With the Achievement One Task, I got voted and verified into the system. No sooner had I been verified than that I had quickly began to explore the richly prepared articles and submissions that had been made across the different communities starting with the Steemit Crypto Academy.

Why you decided to join the steemit platform.

The very first reason I decided to join the ecosystem was not even because of the rich articles and the opportunity of exploring different communities. It was majorly because of the financial benefits I perceived I could receive from it.

Already, I had a lot of passion for writing and exploring several and different topics since I was already into blogging and had been exploring countless number of niches while looking for where to actually settle down as a blogger. However, my joining Steemit was not primarily due to my passion for writing.

I believed I could always write and make submissions in other places on issues that interested me. So, I didn't envision Steemit as the only place where I could do it. So, I got in because a friend had told me he was able to settle his tuition fee from there and that was exactly the problem I was facing at the moment due to the bad economy of my country which had entered a recession.

Nevertheless, by the time I got into the system my passion for writing simply showed off and even paid off as I contributed in my very first week in the Crypto Academy and got mentioned by two professors @yohan2on and @stream4u for producing excellent works among the top three in two different assignment posts.

This was the confirmation that indeed my preparation had met with the kind of opportunity I needed and had been looking for. Equally, I saw the activities that were going on in several other communities that interested me such as the Steem Foods community and I intend to participate actively.

I made some posts which were never voted that nearly put me off and made me do recoil into the Steemit Crypto Academy. since then I have been an active participant in the Crypto Academy and this is one of the very few times I'll be posting outside it apart from the Newcomers Community.

So, on the whole I joined the Steemit Ecosystem because:-

• It gave me the opportunity to fine-tune my writing skills and to whom the creativity in me
• I saw it as an opportunity to expose myself today wider society and meet with more people
• Again, haven seen the kind of knowledge and skill set that was being dished out in the Crypto Academy I believed it was the best place for me to acquire all the knowledge I needed on anything related to cryptocurrency and trading
• Above all the steemit ecosystem promised to be financially rewarding and this was a necessary criteria for the time which I was ready to be investing into the system

Write in detail how steemit and steem change your life for the better, both for yourself personally, family, friends or society with the charity activities you do with steem. Doing a steem promo is also part of the kindness you give to others.

Academically:-

When I entered into the Steemit Ecosystem I got engaged in one of the most erudite and tasking communities which is the Steemit Crypto Academy. Apart from the fact that the lectures being dished out were tremendously informative and served as wonderful eye-openers to a lot of interesting topics.

The fact that we had to report back with assignment posts which were thoroughly and painstakingly graded by the professors meant that I had to do a lot more in improving my writing skills in order to be graded acceptably. This eventually paid off on the long one because it reflected in my academics due to the fact that I now took more time in writing properly even when submitting assignment to my lecturers in the university.

My grades improved tremendously. I discovered I had also gone ahead of most of my course mates especially in emerging technologies like internet of things and the cryptocurrency world which I had been submerged into.

Intellectually:-

Furthermore, I had been developed in terms of my intellectual capacity. This was majorly due to the fact that I was not just learning cryptocurrencies but was being ushered into an entirely new global system that opened me up to the rest of the world. I began to feel and engage the world from a more enlightened point of view.

The lessons from the Academy eventually served as the light that illuminated my secluded and myopic world. It gave me the boldness I needed to face the larger global community as I met intellectuals from all around the globe and saw what they had to bring to the table.

Socially:-

I have gained quite a lot of social benefits from the Steemit Blockchain. I have come to meet people from different walks of life both within my locality, state, country and even in the global community. I came across people like @davchi who was once the City Co-ordinator in Umuahia. He happens to be a learned individual and has also been helpful as someone who is equally spiritually inclined as myself.

I equally got to learn from other erudite, hard-working, dedicated and committed members of the ecosystem like @beckie96830 and @jehoshua-shey whose writing skills and creativity I had admired very greatly in the Crypto Academy. There were also professors who challenged me like professor @sapwood whose perseverance I loved so much.

Crypto Knowledge:-

Through the Steemit Blockchain I have gained quite substantial knowledge of cryptocurrencies. I make bold to reiterate this due to the fact that most of my engagements - if not all - on the Steemit blockchain have been concentrated in the Steemit Crypto Academy.

I only made some submissions a few times in other communities - majorly the Newcomers Community. However, it was not my intention to be limited to a particular community but the fact that I submitted in some places without getting much upvotes discouraged me and I concentrated in the Academy.

At the Crypto Academy I came to learn so much about cryptocurrencies. The Academy had so much lessons to offer when it comes to enlightening us on the prospect of Non-Fungible Tokens(NFTs), Decentralized Finance (DeFi), different kinds of cryptocurrency exchanges as well as generally introducing me to a whole lot of concepts related to cryptocurrencies which have taken the world by storm.

Morally:-

I have learnt a skill that I believe would be able to lead me through life and I don't even have to work for anybody. I'm talking about the fact that through the Steemit Crypto Academy I have learnt the erudite skill set needed to become a profitable trader - whether trading in cryptocurrencies, stocks, commodities, currencies or any other aspect of the financial market. I strongly believe these skills would help improve my moral standing in life as I believe I can become financially stable from it.

This would go a long way in preventing me from joining miscreants or becoming a nuisance in the society. It removes the potential criminality and gives me hope that no matter how difficult situations could become - especially in this part of the world where we are subjected to the worst form of leaders who do not have the interest of the masses at heart - I know I should be able to remain morally upright by being financially independent.

Financially:-

Financially, the steemit ecosystem particularly through the Crypto Academy has given me the financial boost I needed in life. I have been able to not just take care of my own financial needs but I am also able to even cater for the rest of my family especially in this period when my father's salary as a government worker has not been coming regularly.

The fact that I have become more financially stable has also given me the opportunity to contribute tremendously to the upliftment of other people around me. I am always eager to help out my friends or anybody who requires my financial assistance in any way especially if it is within my capacity.

Equally, I have contributed a whole lot to the renovation work going on in my place of worship( I am a christian by religion). We repainted the church building and built a small hall for the Children's Ministry. By the special grace of God I had contributed to these projects purely from proceeds gotten from Steemit Academy.

• I have also been ble to move into my own rented apartment and have been able to purchase a refrigerator, a laptop system; even the phone I am now using to post was gotten from financial rewards from the Steemit Ecosystem. Steemit blockchain and social media has given me the financial boost I needed in life and I am grateful for this.

Equally, I have registered other people in the system especially my siblings and some other people who have showed interest in writing a lot. Others easily get pissed off when they see the kind of articles I produce on the Steemit Crypto Academy. Nevertheless, someone like @gabikay has joined and has widened the scope of his understanding while equally reaping the financial benefits.

CONCLUSION

In conclusion I would like to note that the Steemit Ecosystem is indeed a great innovation and has exposed us to a lot of what is happening in the wider world while connecting several communities. Another very great initiative that would equally serve to tighten the bond between so many contributors and communities is the newly-introduced Engagement Challenge which I am now participating in for the first time on the Steem Entrepreneurs Community. This will help to introduce us to other communities we are not very familiar with before now.
