This moments I would like to promote small business, one of the traditional kitchen crafts from Aceh, exactly Bireuen which one made out of woven bamboo.
However I found it when I was accompanying my elder sister which one want to shopping to bought some ingredients for cooking at Inpres Traditional Market what3words.com at Listrik street, Lhokseumawe, Aceh in the day like an oven, in the noon.
Yeah, at that time my elder sister want to bought some traditional kitchen crafts for our mom’s cooking tool in our small village.
At that time we met the traditional kitchen crafts seller at Inpres Traditional Market Lhokseumawe City on the side of the road.
His name is Mr. Nawir. He is from South Hagu, indeed. Then he just sale traditional kitchen crafts which is from one of bamboo braid Bireuen crafter village.
He is such an amiable & warm-hearted seller. He gave us fast response & explain detailly when we asked something about the traditional kitchen crafts with his warm smile. No matter what eventhough it was a boiled weather in that noon. Hats off.
Besides unique, the traditional kitchen crafts are aesthetic & adorable. Yeah, I am keen on the traditional kitchen crafts on the dine table than modern kitchen tools. Let me tell you that in some places, the mortar sometimes made by ceramic (usually for medical health, to make a medicine) and metal such as brass & stainless steel.

For the medium mortar which is made by stone the price starts from IDR 130,000. If we convert to Steem is about 43.28 Steem. And for the bigger mortar the price starts from IDR 150,000. If we convert to Steem is about 48.79 Steem.
For the mortar which one made by wood and hardwood the prices are start from IDR 30,000 & if we convert to Steem is about 9.76 Steem until IDR 50,000 & when we convert to Steem is about 16.27 Steem
No wonder, due to the fact that made by stone, the weight of those mortars are heavy.
Usually Indonesian use this traditional kitchen crafts to make traditional shrimp paste, to make Asam Aceh (usually made with fried shrimps or fried anchovies, averrhoa bilimbi, shallots, chilies, lime leaves, a little salt & sugar plus lime) to make smooth some of foods and etcetera.

As long as I concerned, when I was a child I still remember that a lot of people use winnowing to clean the rice before they want to cook and wash their rice.
