Technology, though a means of making our lives easier has caused a rift between the real world and the internet world. It has caused individuals to have total dependence on it for various things.

Technology and the internet performed greatly during the Covifd-19 pandemic promoting distance learning and offering other huge benefits in learning. It improved proved that you can communicate with anyone, anywhere irrespective of location, language, and time. You get connected with anyone in the world regardless of where they are. This has made schools take edutainment more seriously than ever.

How Technology has hampered our natural thinking

However, everything that has a pro also has a cons. It has gradually reduced the creativity and thinking outside the box of an individual; because why bother themselves when there's a tech tool to help with it?

We've become so dependent on the internet that it would be punishment if our phones or laptops is taken away from us. It leaves us anxious, confused, and sometimes depressed. Why? Because we have built our existence around technology.

Should we depend entirely on advanced technology?

No, we shouldn't. God gave us the power to make a decision in all aspects of our lives but the emergence and advance of technology has gradually taken that power from us because we don't exercise our brains to execute a task but rely on technology to provide an answer. It has reduced the imagination of people who don't stretch themselves enough.

Am I for or against using technology

Technology both has helped us and also done some harm to us.
We resort to the internet for validation from strangers who have less or no concern at all for whatever we are going through. We rely on tech for basically everything based on our personal lives and daily activities. It causes a gap in human communication, you can indeed communicate with anyone, anywhere but it has caused some indifference when communicating with people. It is not like a face-to-face discussion you have with one another.
I support technology because it has helped make human life enjoyable and stress-free though I am against a complete dependence on it. Sometimes, it is advisable to exercise our bodies, and move around than staying indoors all day on our phones.

Pros and Cons of Technology in our lives

PROS

• Made learning more fun with the introduction of edutainment, combining education and entertainment to pass the message across to students.
• Increased the production of goods because of how fast and efficient the equipment are in producing goods in large quantity within a short time.
• Helps save time to perform and complete some tasks that would have normally taken time.
  ✔ To buy something, you can order and have it delivered to your doorstep.
  ✔ To wash plates and clothes, there are dishwashers and washing machines for plates and clothes.
  ✔ There is equipment to mow grasses and not have to use the cutlass to put the grass yourself.

CONS

• It has caused some relationships between family and friends to be distant because they will rather be doing something else on the phone than engage in communication.
• It has caused a huge layoff of individuals from their place of work rendering them unemployed and dependent on other people for funds.
• Having this equipment has caused us to be dependent on these tools to o our chores for us.
