I am completely agree with the comment of @mou.sumi
What Litton's wife is doing is a pure example of infidelity, and such wives make people suspicious who go abroad to earn money for their families, this is a grave betrayal towards Litton. The poor guy is trying to surprise his wife by buying jewellery to make her happy while being away from her and he is about to get a terrible surprise from under his wife's bed.
You should finish your story in one go friend, no one has the time or the curiosity to read your second part. Everyone is very busy in their daily chores.
