Discussion of tiles
Hello friends. Welcome to today's post. Hope everyone is doing very well. I am fine too, Alhamdulillah. In today's post I will discuss a different topic.
You all know tiles. It is used in many homes. Today I will discuss the process of how tiles are prepared and its use in an industry.
Tiles are mainly used to enhance the beauty of floors and walls. The use of tiles can be seen in almost every house today. Using tiles increases the beauty of the house.
How to create tiles |

First the raw materials for making tiles must be collected. These raw materials are mainly extracted from mines. Then these are brought to the industry.
These raw materials are in large chunks. So they have to be crushed with a crusher. After crushing, they become small pieces.
For making tiles the raw material has to be made into a fine powder. Therefore, the crushed raw materials have to be grinded in a ball mill. Particle size for making tiles should be 150-300 particle size.
Since the raw materials are extracted from mines, there are many impurities in them. Therefore, magnetic separators are used to remove impurities from the grinding raw materials.
Then the raw materials should be kept in a sieve.
Then it should be made into small granules through spray dryer.
Tiles are shaped by pressing these granules.
In this condition the tiles are soft and wet. For this, it is taken a little harder using a dryer at a temperature of 50-230 Celsius. So that the tiles don't break to move.
This is followed by glaze. Printing is done on the glaze to add more beauty.
Finally firing is done in Kiln to give durability to the tiles. Its temperature is 1150-1250 Celsius.
After firing they are squared and polished. This means that during firing, if there are any ridges on the smart side of the tiles, they are cut off and the top of the tiles are rubbed hard to make them crystal clear.
This completes the making of tiles. Then these tiles are packed. Some industries have robotic systems for packing and some industries do it manually.
These are then marketed.
The demand for these tiles is increasing day by day. Tiles are one of the most beautiful products. Tiles of some industries of Bangladesh are also exported abroad. Tiles now play a major role in the economy of Bangladesh.
