Animal Activity...
It has become a regular routine for me to look after these animals... Tending for the sheep is almost on a daily basis unless I'm not around and as I do, I take my time to study their behaviour and of course I learn new things everyday as I lead them out to the green pasture.
Oh that reminds me of that popular passage of the bible, Psms 23 to be precise where the Psalmist, said God leads him to the green pasture where he gets feds and satisfied because he considers himself as a sheep in the hand of the Lord his shepherd.
All of these now begins to make sense to me as I do these things often, still under studying these animals though. But guys, have I introduced these stubborn set of animals to you, I mean our goats... Oh my! They can be very stubborn. What am I even saying, is that not supposed to be their inherent trait?
We took them out today to feed on grass, they have been jealous all the while we have been going out with the sheep. So today we decided to take them out. We have attempted this in the past, I wasn't around then but somehow, one of the goats, an he-goat got loose from the rope it was tied with.
That day's experience was not a beautiful one at all, those that recounted did it with so much troubled feeling because the thought of losing it alone is enough to trouble the mind. The he-goat kept going up and down until they eventually got it. Interestingly, we had once lost a goat to a similar incident, this is another reason why that day wasn't even funny. Thanks to God that the goat was apprehended eventually.
So today we decided to take them out to feed on something nice, they are ruminant animals, they feed on grass like every other animal in their class. So we did. This time we tied them firmly ensuring that they can't break loose by any means and so we stayed and monitored them till they ate to their fill and led back home.
