Coastal Safe Drinking Water Issue

Hope all of your day is going much well. My day is also going pretty well. Recently I went to work in the coastal area. So there is one issue of the people that I find. I will talk about this today. The issue is the insufficient of clean drinking water in the coastal area.
Coastal area refers to the junction between sea and land. That is the place along the sea or river. So I went to the coastal area. The place is located in Shyamnagar. This South Kadamtala is a village of Shyamnagar. This village is next to the Sundarbans. An important problem for the people of this village is the lack of safe drinking water.
Approximately eight thousand people lives in South Kadamtala. The people of this village are very poor. Almost all of them make a living by catching fish, crabs and extracting honey from the Sundarbans. That is why they are not financially active. This village is along the river. This is why the people of this village have survived the river as a means of earning.
At one place in the village, there is only one tube well to feed about 400 people. This tube well does not yield much during summer. That is why these villages have tube wells and pressure sand filters for drinking water.
This pressure filter means keeping the pond water in a large filter. These filters and media reduce the various toxic substances mixed with the pond water. This water is suitable for consumption. The people of these villages do not even have a container to hold rain water.
Various organizations are trying to solve this big problem. Still, this is not solved. Due to high salinity, tube wells cannot be installed everywhere. This is why this problem persists. Some of the people here have been drinking this water from their birth. Most of the time they are suffering from various types of waterborne diseases.
Water is one thing without which we cannot live. This village has been facing from this water problem for years. The government has not yet taken any steps to resolve this water problem. This water problem can be solved if the government installs adequate pressure sand filters in this village and provides adequate rainwater harvesting containers.

উপকূলীয় অঞ্চলে নিরাপদ পানি আসলেই পাওয়াটা অনেক কঠিন হয়ে পরে ৷ কারন উপকূলীয় অঞ্চলে বেশীর ভাগে লোনা পানি পাওয়া যায় ৷ যার জন্য ঐ এলাকায় পানির জন্য নিরাপদ নয় ৷
তারপর ঐ অঞ্চলে দরিদ্র মানুষ খুবেই রয়েছে ৷ সেখানে কোন ধরনের কর্ম সংস্থান নেই যার জন্য তারা আসে পাশে যা কিছু আছে মাছ কাকড়া খেয়ে জীবন জাপন করে থাকে ৷

আসলে উপকূলীয় অঞ্চল গুলো সম্পর্কে যদিও আমার তেমন কোন ধারণা নেই। তবে আজকে আমি আপনার পোস্ট থেকে,, উপকূলীয় মানুষের কিছু সমস্যার কথা জানতে পারলাম। কিছু বললে ভুল হবে, সবচাইতে বড় সমস্যাটাই হচ্ছে পানির সমস্যা।
