Steem engagement challenge S12-W6 | Aceh Cultural Week
Hello greetings to all steemians friends wherever they are, how are you today? Hopefully everyone is still in good health and can carry out all activities well. On this occasion I am back to participate in a contest held by the Incredible India Community in the Steemit Engagement Challenge Season 12 Week 6 with the contest theme: "What is the grand festival in your country?"
Each country has various traditions that characterize that nation. These traditions can range from cultural festivals to culinary or tourist attractions. All these traditions must be maintained and preserved so that they do not become extinct in the increasingly sophisticated era. It is our duty as good citizens to protect this tradition so that it does not become extinct. Indonesia is a large country that has many tribes with different cultures and traditions. One area that has many cultural traditions is the beloved Province of Aceh.
A festival is a festive event or large party held to commemorate an important or historical activity/event. It can also be interpreted as a people's party which is an event where you have fun. Aceh Cultural Week or PKA is one of the cultural festivals in Aceh which is eagerly awaited by millions of local people, nicknamed the Veranda of Mecca. Aceh Cultural Week is an activity in the form of a cultural festival by displaying the rich culture of Aceh in the form of cultural attractions, artistic performances, exhibitions and cultural seminars.
This Acehnese cultural week has been held for seven times. PKA was first held in 1958 and continued until it was last held in 2018. Aceh Culture Week aims to develop and preserve Aceh's historical values, customs and culture. Aceh Culture Week is also a means of unifying the various ethnicities in Aceh Province. Apart from that, PKA has provided quite positive results for the preservation of Acehnese culture.
The holding of this cultural festival succeeded in making the public really appreciate the implementation of PKA. However, in every major activity there are definitely several things that need to be addressed and improved. This aims to achieve the noble ideals of implementing Aceh Cultural Week itself in the future. This year the committee will again hold the biggest cultural festival in Aceh which is planned for early November 2023.
In organizing this festival, I have a great desire to enliven this activity. I just wanted to visit some of the stands at the cultural festival. It is very interesting to witness the various cultures displayed in Aceh Cultural Week. As an Acehnese person, of course I really support this festival because it aims to preserve Acehnese culture and has implications for the community's economic growth and increasing the Aceh tourism industry in the international world.

I do believe that festivals are very important, not only for the individual but also for the nation. It is to be enjoyed by the young and old.

Thank you for sharing the great festival of Indonesia in your nicely presented post to the challenge. It would have been remain unknown like many other fastivals of the world if you hadn't share it with us. Aceh Cultural Week has already took place seven times in last fifty years. The eighth version of Aceh Cultural Week is going to happen in November, 2023. Hope you will again share your experience of visiting the 8th edition of Aceh Cultural Week. Wish you all success.

Grand festivals vary from country to country and there are numerous festivals. It is celebrated by both young adults and children. Aceh Cultural Week in your county appears to be a fantastic event.
