I agree with you what you say here
These gifts are more than mere objects; they embody a narrative and a fragment of Indian tradition. They are considerate, distinctive, and can be a pleasant revelation, demonstrating a recognition of my cultural background and predilections.
But I believe the way we Indians buy them most of them are used for exchange purposes. I believe in practical gifts, personalized ones that the receiver keeps close to them and remembers me forever.
