Hello Steemians! Well come to my post. How are you all? I hope that you will be doing well. I'm also fine and enjoying my day. Today I'm here to participate in this Steemit Engagement Challenge Season 10 Week 5 in the Incredible India community. Anything which is harmful for the environment and for the living organisms is called pollution. There are numerous reasons behind the environmental pollution but the most significant reasons are discussed below.

• Industrial Waste: The Waste of industrial sectors is playing a vital role in increase of environmental pollution. It releases very harmful substances in the Air which causes pollution. The burning of hazardous chemicals in the industries cause the air, water and soil pollution. It also increase the greenhouse gases. More ever the burning of fossil fuels and the manufacturing and mining processes inside the industries has a major role in increase in the environmental pollution.

• Traffic Smoke: The mods of transportation such as vehicles, bikes trucks and ships etc also causing the environmental pollution. The smoke of these things release very harmful gases like carbon dioxide and the oxides of sulphur and nitrogen causes the Air pollution and the health issues for humans. These pollutants also cause the climate changes.

• Deforestation: The cutting of trees and the change of fertile land into colonies and industries also cause the environmental pollution. As we all know that the trees are the environmental buffers which filters the air and remove toxic substances from the environment. So the cutting of trees also contribute to Air pollution.

How can we prevent environmental pollution?

The prevention environmental pollution requires the combined individual efforts and also include the industrial and government policies. However according to the following steps we can take and prevent our environment from pollution.

• We should follow the 3R principle which is reuse, reduce and recycle. According to this we should use the reusable thing and the things are affecting environment badly we should reduce their use and also recycle the things which are recyclable.

• We should adopt the public transport instead of traveling through own vehicles and that habit decrease the hustle and bustle on the roads and eventually reduce the emissions of harmful gases and protect our environment.

• We should reduce our reliance on the fossil fuels and use the renewable energy sources like solar system, wind energy and the hydroelectric energy to fulfill our needs. This is because the burning of fossil fuels release very harmful chemicals in the air and pollute our environment.

• We should protect our natural resources and promote the reforestation. Reduce the urbanization and the colony system. This is because in the pakistan the fertile land is converting into colonies which may cause very serious environmental problems in near future.

Share your opinion on how environmental pollution impacts all living creatures, including humans.

The environmental pollution is affecting all the living things very badly especially humans. When the harmful gases like carbon dioxide and nitrogen oxides enters the air, it pollutes the Air. Then it cause the lungs disease and the respiratory disorders in the humans. The air pollution also cause the depletion in the layer of ozone which increase the possibility of reaching the ultraviolet radiations on earth and increase the risk of cancers in living organisms.

When these harmful gases combine with the rain water then it make that rain acid rain and which cause the stone cancer in the monuments and also destroy the plants and other trees. More ever when the industrial polluted water reaches the lakes and rivers there it cause the death of fishes and other creatures which are living in the water. That polluted water blocks the gills of fishes and eventually results in death.

Yes keeping the environment neat and clean is the responsibility of every individual. When I was a student I have planted so many trees in my school and I have also actively participated in the environment cleaning activities which were held by our teachers to raise the affects of pollution on our environment and their bad impacts. Besides this whenever I went on picnic in the park and other places there we always kept a trash bag with us to keep all our waste things in it and keep our environment clean.

As we all know that the Earth is the only planet which supports life. If we continued polluting our environment at the same ratio and then one day it will become unable to live there. So it is the responsibility of every individual to keep our mother land neat and clean. If we save Earth, it will save us and our upcoming generations. So I will suggest everyone to take an active part in the betterment of our mother land. Plant more and more trees.
