How About the Old ways...
Over the years, people are hooking into the new ways of living.. new technologies, gadgets , instant foods and all sort of new mechanisms.. What happened to our old ways of living?
Yes! For me the advance technology and developments are all great , proving that humans are really intellectual and that it helps us ease the hardships of the old ways , all those that are manually done. But isn't it good to look back and use the old ways still? Sometimes?..hmmm ...
Today, i wanted to share one of my family gatherings, which is actually happening usually every weekend. My parents do have this small house , like a nipa hut , we call it kubo , they go there everyday to clean it and feed their goats as well.
So here, our family had a lunch together using the traditional boodle fight(eating with the hands with all sort of foods presented in a big banana leaf) .
<br
It was very simple , we had fish, grilled pork and ginataang gabi(vegetable).. plus rice and cola. So we are busolve!!! (Busog+solve) .. hahaha.. busog means tummy full
There are my lovely girls, with my parents.. had hard time taking good pictures of them hahaha.
My nephew , with my girls, don't know why kids love to play with soil and sand hahaha. My uncle also have this small space beside his ricefield, a squared like a small swimming pool where they can dip un theirselves when it's filled with water , that's actually used for water supply for the rice field
Here are our goats.. my parents' actually , they are 8 in total. They are usually fed with grass or leaves and my papa always clean their shelter.
I just am grateful to live in old ways sometimes.. not everyone has this chance of experiencing country side kind of living. So everyone , it's okay to be advanced but let's not forget where all these technology came from and that sometimes it's okay to get back to the basics.
'Til my next blog...
