Mary and Matthew in "Downton Abbey"

Downton Abbey, this beautiful villa houses the Robert family. Roberts and his wife have three beautiful daughters. The eldest daughter Mary is the most beautiful and outstanding. But to be honest, at first I didn't like Mary or even hated her a bit, because I thought he was a bit powerful and too arrogant, especially her attitude towards Matthew made me hate her even more.

   Matthew fell in love with Mary at first sight, but Mary always thought that he had come to grab property with her, so she never had a good face to Matthew, and ridiculed Matthew the first time we met. But Matthew never wanted to grab any property with her. He just came to fulfill a kind of responsibility, and he was always tolerant of Mary and didn't care about her. Then Mary gradually found out that Matthew was good. Knowing that he was not here for property, she developed feelings for Matthew. But Matthew thought that Mary had no intention of treating him, so she was with another girl. Mary regretted and helpless, so she could only bless them.

      Later, Matthew joined the army. Unfortunately, he was severely injured in the war and he was paralyzed. The doctors were unable to make him stand up again. He was frustrated and depressed. During this period, Mary often came to accompany him to relieve him. And these Matthew's wives felt pain in their eyes, because she knew that Matthew had always loved Mary, not her. After a while, Matthew's legs miraculously recovered, but it was Matthew's wife who became depressed and died in regret. Regarding the death of Matthew's wife, Matthew and Mary feel guilty. They think they are not worthy of happiness, so they have not been together. After that, they learned something and slowly untied their knots, and finally Matthew proposed to Mary one Christmas evening. They were finally together, which made me very excited and moved.

        They lived happily after marriage, and Mary was pregnant with a baby, but on the day Mary gave birth, Matthew was so excited that he collided with other cars on the road and his life came to an abrupt end, leaving behind. Mary and the newborn child. To be honest, I think this plot is too absurd, because Matthew can go through the war safely and can perform miracles, but he left when his happy life comes, which makes me very unacceptable. Although I can't accept it, their story is still over.
