If I could always travel or live near a specific place, I would choose to be at the beach. I am one of those who think that the salty waves of the sea, its sand and the sun, are able to heal you and that the ocean has hidden secrets that deserve to be discovered.

I prefer to be immersed in the blue of the water, on the ochre of the ground and under the yellow wake of the sun. Whenever I travel to a beach, I forget the problems and reconnect with nature and listen to the different silence that emerges from the mist and the crests.

This is me fully enjoying Cayo Sombrero, Falcon state, Venezuela. I made the trip a few years ago and then I did not go back to this place full of magic and palm trees that you can not stop watching.

Who can doubt that a beach does not have it all? If you like wildlife, the mountains, or the city, you just have to move away from the ocean in the direction of where the ground is strong and there is less humidity. The rivers flow into the sea, so you will always have fresh water.

Every time I go on a trip to the sea, I leave part of my energy there, but I bring with me another energy that is vital to continue the steps I take, far away, where I live.

Some people say that when you go to the sea, you get rid of many diseases and you relax a lot. Cayo Sombrero is a beach resort without waves, the water temperature is warm, there is a cool breeze and many palm trees to hide from the sun.

Sometimes I joke that I could live there as a salesman of those who walk along the shore selling green mango with marinated sauce, coconut candy or glasses, but I know that this is a tough job, especially because you realize that while you sweat and work, others enjoy.

The sea heals, I am sure of it. I miss the ocean and its dunes, the trip to the coast and arriving colorful to my house, where I take a shower to erase the remains of salt that I brought as a souvenir.
