LifeStyle: Ancient Bonsai Trees of Tiger Hill Suzhou, China
One of my adventures in Suzhou, China was a visit to Tiger Hill and its ancient 'Leaning Tower of China'. Tiger Hill is located at Gusu District — 585 Huqiu Hill, Suzhou, Jiangsu, China.
This place is both historical and magical because the history of this place is associated with ancient legends. It is said that the name "Tiger Hill" is derived from the legend that a white tiger appeared on the hill to guard the tomb of King Helu.
Behind me is the Sword Pool and under this pool lies the Tomb of King Helu.
It is believed to contain treasure of thousands of swords but this tomb cannot be excavated because the tomb is balancing the seven-floor pagoda on top of the hill which means that any force to excavate the tomb will make the pagoda completely collapse.
Tiger Hill offers a variety of scenic spots for nature lovers. The surrounding gardens are very captivating and a you can find lot of quiet places to sit and admire the landscape.
What captivates me most about this place is its collection of ancient Bonsai trees. The Bonsai garden showcases exquisite bonsai collections.
These bonsai trees are intricately crafted and maintained by Bonsai Masters themselves.
You can even find Bonsai landscapes in a pot that resembles a miniature islands. These miniature islands when photographed on a closer look and a right angle, you can capture a view of a magical island with amazing cliff system.
Strolling around this wonderful place is like riding a time machine going back to ancient China where legends, supernatural and magical sights are played on your very eye.
