In Pakistan when we talk about our territories then individuals living in various areas have their own way of life as indicated by their conventions, arrangement, air. They communicate in various dialects, dress themselves as indicated by their traditions and there is likewise an immense contrast between their food. Punjabi Lifestyle:
The people of the Punjab are called Punjabis. They are basically of Indo-Aryan ethnic origin and belong to South Asia.They speak in language called Punjabi. The language of all the region is Punjabi. Punjabi language is originated from Sanskrit.The people of Punjab are very much hardworking and can face all the challenges of their life.Punjab is described as the land of the Gurus, Pirs and the warriors. The Punjabi believes in earning honest living through hard labor and in sharing the fruits of this labor with others.The culture of Punjab has its own unique fragrance among the cultures of the world.The population of the Punjab is a combination of different communities and tribes. Many Greek, Scythians, Parthians, Huns, Pathans and Mughal came here and settled down in the culture of Punjab. Among the different tribes most famous are the Jats, Khatris, Aroras, Brahmans, Vaishyas, Lohars, Gujjars, Tarkhans and Sansins. Some other tribes residing in the area are Awans, Arians, Kalals, Labanas, Pathans , Sainis, Kambohs and Soods. Most of them can be further subdivided into clans and family groups. Some other tribes include Banias, Bhatias, Brahmins. Some of these tribes have Arabian, Persian and Turkish heritage.
Punjabians love music and dance which can be seen in their bhangra beats that is coming famous day by day.Whether of Punjab is very moderate which shows the soft nature of their behaviour. The people of Punjab are very fashionable and religious at the same time. The food of Punjab is famous in all over the world and people come from many places to eat it.
Punjabi Speciality:
Women in Punjab traditionally practice the craft of needlework on bedspreads, garments and other textile products. The most famous patterns have the phulkari, or embroidered floral motifs. Bright coloured silk threads are used to create designs on deeper tones of cotton fabric. Punjab also has the craft tradition of hand woven durries (cotton floor spreads). Mostly, they are woven in stripes, checkerboard and square patterns, but also have floral, bird and animal motifs.Leather craft, especially the “juttis” or soft leather shoes, is a unique product from Punjab.
Traditional Punjabi Dressing:
Punjabi girls and women wear salwar kameez with bright colored dupattas A salwar kameez has two pieces of cloths: the kameez, or shirt or top piece, and the salwar, or pants or bottom piece. A dupatta is a piece of colorful cloth that women wear around their necks. Salwar kameez and dupattas come in a variety of colors and designs. There are many stores that specialize and sell only these articles of clothing.Men and boys generally wear loose pants or slacks with a collared shirt or t-shirt. Some males also wear the kurta pajama, an Indian shirt and pant outfit, especially the Punjabi farmer. On their head, many Sikhs also wear bugs, or turbines.
