Redline is a cinematic wonder. It's an animation that exists to push the boundaries and traditional expectations within the standards of the animation industry. Redline exists to break through the ground of limitation and go all-in with the skills of animators. The outcome is something so beautiful, bursting with colour, and a visual thrill throughout.

Protagonist JP races in the Yellowline car race, which grants him access to the Redline race--a galaxy-wide race that takes place only once every five years--although this year, the event is taking place on the planet Roboworld: a planet roaming with a trigger-happy military and criminals looking to sabotage the race for their own agendas.

A large portion of the film is of the race itself: there's no teasing here. Redline wants you to sit back and have the sheer speed of the race as its exhilarating music thumps.

While many of the participants are willing to win by any means necessary, JP relies purely on his talents as a driver, using the unfathomable speed of his car to in attempt to beat the other contestants; all while Roboworld does their best to stop the race. Set far into the future, each vehicle is equipped with various enhancements and defences. There are very few rules in Redline. You can kill, destroy, but not attempt to cut corners. It's a deadly race, but winning results in immense fame and fortune.

Pacing is perfected in the film, the race is riddled with high-speed action, while ensuring the government and other characters get their motives unravelled in pieces of exposition. Typically, their exposition is followed by the taking of drastic measures, kicking up the action once again.
