An urban man inexperienced in farming came to see the village field. A farmer from the village is with him. The urban man saw two lands side by side. Potatoes and carrots have been cultivated in one land and maize in the other. The man saw that the potato-carrot tree was very small. And the corn tree is much bigger. Seeing this, the man said to the farmer, How long ago were these trees planted?
The farmer of the village replied that the seeds of potato, carrot and maize were sown at the same time.
Listening to the farmer, the urban man said, then it seems that the land of potato and carrot is not good, the land of maize is better.
The farmer then said, your idea is wrong. In fact, the land of potato and carrot is more fertile and the yield has been better this time. And this time there are insects in maize, the yield of maize will not be good this time.

Here both farmers and urban people are measuring success with their own perspectives. In fact, the urban people do not know that the fruits of potatoes and carrots are under the ground. It cannot be seen with the naked eye. So when he saw a big tree, he called the land of corn a good land.
On the other hand, knowing everything about farming, the farmer was able to measure the success of potatoes, carrots and maize well.

Like urban people, we often have misconceptions about 'success in life' due to ignorance. If someone suddenly owns some money, we call him a successful person. Again, if someone falls into misery, we consider him as a failed person.
But we don't realize that suffering is part of success. When people fall into misery, the experience they gain shows them new paths to success. The person who sees this success is much wiser than the person who suddenly finds success.
