📍The subject of success on this very platform has been a topic of contemplation, not only to newbies as it may seem but old members also have this struggles...
Rejoining steemit again on January 8th this year after blogging for few months in 2017 was such an eye opener, i'd tell you why.
Back into the few months in 2017 it was more of a laissez faire, no seriousness or dedication attached.
Things got real for me when i rejoined this year, i noticed things were much more different from how it was years ago, a lot of changes so i had to get my foot back on track to meet up with everything i came to see on ground, including the new communities set-up, club membership, steemcurators, and so on.
When i rejoined this photo here was the status of my account:
I had a holding steem power of just 8, that is 8SP.
I set out to grow, and be successful by doing the following:
1. Being hardworking and committed:
I was determined to be hardworking because i know deep in my heart that nothing good comes without hardwork. So i strive to put in my very best, even with my work, i tried to post regularly in a bid to be consistent because it is key. And although i am not yet at the best place, but i am glad that i could make it thus far.
Below is my present account status:
About 300SP is mine, 400SP is a contest gift delegation to be retrieved on the 9th day of June.
I have been able to give 4 months a successful shot.
2. Taking part in contest:
Without mincing words, contest participation gave me a big success, i have participated in uncountable contest, and i gained rewards, recognition and connection with other steemians, you should do this too, it helps.
3. Using the right tags for my publication:
Wondering why your post is not always seen? Perhaps you are using the wrong tags, you could update yourself from time to time from the @steemitblog on community curators tags, it is very helpful.
In the past i post recklessly getting piercing 0$ everywhere, but the story is different now, it is not all 0$, most of my post are being seen and supported through my tags, and of course these tags must be related the kind of post you are creating
It is wrong to abuse tags, take note !!.
4. By posting original & steem exclusive content:
As we all know, steemit is highly against any form of plagiarism, so whatever i post on steemit i do a check using this tool just to be sure:

Originality is the face of steemit, and steem exclusiveness means the post is peculiar to only steemit, that means is not posted any where else asides steemit. Do well to always post original and steem exclusive content and you will be rewarded 'someday'(as the popular mantra goes...votes are not guaranteed)
Just bring out the best of you.
5. Making quality content:
When i say quality content, i mean post of value.
Posting quality content can boost your audience as people will be attracted to you and what you publish, also, quality post on steemit carries total words of not less than 300.
