Supporting Person's With Disabilities(PWD's).
This limitation, creates a huge barrier between them and the outside world, causing most of their needs to be left unmet. Fortunately for some, they get loving families to accept them as whom they've become but for others, they tend to find themselves in families and societies that treats them like trash.
Because they're not able to fully function well in their own environment, most people develop a habit of stigmatizing them thereby denying the privileges that they should have enjoyed, first, as human beings and secondly, as a citizen of a nation. Society always pushes them away, making them feel unworthy through stigmatization.
Aside that, the society makes the environment itself a disable-unfriendly environment, that is, many infrastructures built by both the government, NGO's and various individuals happens to have nothing that will help a disabled person enjoy the comfort of that infrastructure or property.
Most of the disabled women too, are usually lured by capable men to have a sexual intercourse but as soon as they get pregnant, these capable men either deny of having nothing to do with them or flee without looking back and this creates more burden for those persons with disability.
It's so sad to see a fellow human being facing rejections and all kinds of trauma for something they had no control on. We often forget that whatever happened to them can also happen to us. Yes...it's sometimes exasperating to see them continuously begging for money whiles they can actually do something to cater for themselves but, let's not forget that, aside them not having what it takes to start a business, others who have what it takes too, lacks the motivation to start it.
If we all decide not to stigmatize but to help them in every aspect of their lives, I think they will feel more comfortable and motivated to take initiatives. Let's start by helping those immediate to us, those that we find in our homes and on our streets. Support them in the little way you can and your effort won't be in vain because disability in not inability. Thank you 😊
Supporting people with disability is very key and will make their life's better and greater . Let's help one another because we love each other.
