Blood donation

A false beleive about blood donation in some communities is the fact that blood donation is a gender based issue. According to the WHO in 2011, countries like Garbon, Thailand and the USA had the higher percentage of their donor being females.
Among some criterials preventing females from donating blood temporarily are; pregnancy, breast feeding, menstrual period. A good selected procedue is put in place to make sure the female is save and therefore does not constitute a gender base situation. More over, females have the double power of giving birth to life and preserving this through their act of blood donation.
