21 Day Abundance Challenge: Let's Kick Off 2020!
Happy 2020! I hope you are all enjoying the new year thus far. My year ended with a quick and nasty case of the flu, but luckily I think I'm leaving the worst of it behind in 2019. Copious amounts of rest, tea, ginger, turmeric and elderberry seemed to do the trick to get me started on my way back to my usual abundant health.
On that note, I'd like to extend an invitation for you to join me for another round of the Deepak Chopra Abundance Meditation Challenge! This challenge has made its way around some of the @naturalmedicine folk, and I was blessed enough to be able to jump in on the round that @riverflows hosted in December. I was a little hesitant to commit to a daily challenge for 3 weeks in one of the busiest months of the year, but developing a daily meditation habit has been one of my goals for a long time. What better way to work on that than with some accountability and a group of supportive folks? As a way to give back after gaining so much from the experience personally, I offered to run another round in January for anyone who might have missed the last one.
What does the challenge entail?
For 21 days I will share Deepak Chopra's daily meditation and an enlightening assignment to go along with it (together both should only take about 20-30 minutes of your day). You will have 24 hours to complete the daily task, and you are welcome to complete it any time in the day. We all know sometimes "stuff" happens, so if for some reason you miss a day, don't fret, just jump right back on where you left off! Just make sure not to peek ahead. ;)
I actually loved the homework element of the challenge. The activities really made me look at my own life and where some of my thoughts and habits stem from. Yes, some of them were challenging, but sometimes you need a kick in the pants to create room for abundance in your thoughts and actions. The meditations themselves were all less than 15 minutes, so even newbies should easily be able to complete them!
How do I join?
Come join the @naturalmedicine discord channel if you're not in there already and let us know you'd like to join the Abundance Challenge. There will be a separate room we will give you access to where the daily meditations will be shared and you will be welcome to share your thoughts and experiences throughout! @riverflows has committed to burning 500 LOTUS for each person who joins this round as a way to keep the value of the @naturalmedicine coin high. We ask if you have some to spare, consider sending a voluntary amount to the @null account to do the same. If you don't have any LOTUS to spare, let me know and I'll be happy to contribute on your behalf!
When do we start?
January 10th! Well, since I'm on the East Coast of the United States, I will technically share the first session on the evening of the 9th to make sure my pals on the other side of the world can start and finish before the end of the first month of the new year!
As I mentioned above, it was a really eye-opening experience for me. I explored some barriers that I didn't even realize were hindering me, and also appreciated taking the time to be grateful for the people and things I already have in my life that I sometimes take for granted. I would say one of the biggest lessons I'm taking with me is that there is an infinite amount of abundance available. I know I have gotten caught up in the erroneous rhetoric that there's only so much available--money, jobs, influence, time, anything really--when that is actually a very limiting thought. As much as I thought I might dread having to take the time out some days, I came to look forward to that bit of quiet time and reflection. I have my notebook from the first round, and I can't wait to actually do this round with you all again to dig even deeper and continue forming new positive changes to come.

Yes! Putting out some good vibes that we'll get a solid crew. :) Even though I just finished, I am looking forward to going back through again to really start out the new year with an abundance mindset.
I hadn't come across this challenge before. Mindfulness is something I have not done on a frequent basis and definitely need to do more of it. Was eyeing up the Spotify premium and Headspace joint subscription which seems to be a good deal. Hope your challenge goes well and you get over the flu asap!
You're welcome to come join Nicky! ;) I do very much enjoy Headspace, but have a habit of, well, getting out of the habit. This was quite nice to not only have the meditation but also the tasks to go with to reinforce the process. Looking forward to the accountability of leading as a way to dig back in and keep me on top of that daily quiet time!

I actually did this challenge but it was in a real busy period at the end of last year so stopped halfway, still kept my little group going but promised myself I would carry on as it really was beneficial. May jump onboard here as things will be quiter then, we've had a hectic season here with guests!

I am so happy that you are planning to take some quite time Katie. Meditation is he key to everything! Great challenge! I started practicing meditation back in 2004 and it change the way is the the world. It actually led me to become vegan. Namaste 🙏
It really is a wonderful practice! A great way to connect to your own mind, but also make you think about the whole world around you, as well. It definitely reinforces my dietary choices for sure!
I think in your case your dietary choices are in place Katie, and in my case was more than that, because I went vegan mainly for spiritual reasons. However, each individual has it's on personal experience and I am sure there will be a lot that you discover about your self and beyond. It's all about expansion of consciousness.
