i might do both? we will see how it goes, can't even find an answer as to how to log into hive right now with what keys so maybe when i find that out? lol
You can login with steemkeychain and your current Steem Keys. The sight will be a copy of Steem. Then after Fri. It will no longer sync with the Steem blockchain. It will continue on it's own Hive blockchain. Its live at https://hive.blog.

will the steemkeychain work? thank you that is very valuable information! i will try logging in with that then when it launches :)
Should all be good as the keys are the same for your account and the Keychain is tied to the site requesting the authorization.
also, must we log in to the hive one as soon as possible? or wait until launch?
Either or there's, no need to log in to it activate anything. You are able to log in at the moment with your existing Keys. After Fri. though, if a new account is created on Hive it will not be the same on Steem and vice-versa.

Pity you do only give these three options. Many do not know what is going on. As I understand after reading a German post not everyone is welcome. This means these people have no choice, those who don't know what is going on neither.
What is the difference between hive.io and marlians or neixian-city?
