Walking along the Fontanka River Embankment
It's a short walk, from Old Kalinkin to the Egyptian Bridge. I went for a walk yesterday morning. It was hot, around +30. It's a great summer weather, but by evening the weather had gone bad, it started raining with thunderstorms.
The embankment of the Fontanka River, as well as the embankments of other St. Petersburg rivers, are made of granite. Often there are steps on which it is possible to go down to water. These slopes can be moored by boat.
This year's spring was coming very slowly. But the rosehip is already in bloom.
Hot weather is rare in our city, so some residents are in a hurry to seize the moment and get a portion of vitamin D.
This little boat clears the river of debris. The workers have stopped to rest. Car tyres protect the boat from the quay wall, while the quay wall is protected from the boat.
These long balconies belong to the rooms of the same apartment. But these apartments are communal. That's why the balconies are divided in half by handmade partitions.
This is another descent to the water that you can dock on a boat. It's not stairs, it's a gentle slope. Diabase in the sun warms up well, it's nice to lie on it, warm up, sunbathe.
A young man on a bike works as a courier for the delivery of food. The movement on the quay is one-way, he rides not according to the rules and looks at me cautiously. But circling the other side is far, the food can get cold.
So this short walk is over, the Egyptian Bridge is visible in front.
nice
Thank you!
